Can you please stop the red banner about Ghrome every time I go to IMVU Next?

It gets pretty annoying having to click it away hundred times a day.

And no, I won't switch to Chrome. It does NOT give me the best experience.

@Da3n3ryz   You obviously did not understand what I wrote. This does not happen in Chrome. As I wrote I do not want to use Chrome. It keeps popping up in the OperaGX browser which gives me a better experience in chat in Next than Chrome, and everything else works better than in Chrome, only evey time when I go to Home in Next, This red banner is there. I do not block anything, it just shows when I switch from messages in Classic page to Next, or after log in. But thank you for the suggestions, I will see if they work in Opera too.

Hi  @JanXuan , to stop the red banner about Chrome that appears when accessing IMVU  Next, you can try disabling intrusive ads in Chrome settings. Go to "Site settings" under "Privacy and security," then find "Intrusive ads" and block them. Additionally, you can use a browser extension like uBlock Origin to block elements like the banner.

Detailed Steps:

1. Disable Intrusive Ads in Chrome:

Open Chrome.

Click the three dots (More) in the top right corner.

Select "Settings."

Go to "Privacy and security."

Click "Site settings."

Click "Additional content settings."

Find "Intrusive ads" and select your preferred setting (e.g., "Block all sites from showing intrusive ads").

2. Use a Browser Extension (e.g., uBlock Origin):

Install uBlock Origin from the Chrome Web Store.

Right-click on the banner on IMVU.

Select "Block element by selector."

Enter the relevant CSS selector for the banner (e.g., "header.nav-down").

Refresh the page.

The banner should be blocked. You may need to repeat the process for the API site as well.

Important Considerations:

Website's Intent:

The website might be intentionally displaying this banner. Blocking it might affect the site's functionality.

Malware:

If the banner appears suddenly, it could be related to malware. Consider scanning your computer for malware.

Proxy Settings:

Ensure there are no proxy settings configured in Chrome, as they can sometimes cause redirection issues.

Chrome Extensions:

Check your Chrome extensions, as a compromised extension could redirect your searches.

Thanks
