I have put a lot of time into building out my avatar style and outfit combos, and I’m wondering, what’s the best way to save or back up a specific look in case something breaks, glitches, or I just want to restore an old vibe?
Is there any tool or trick people use to keep track of avatar versions or outfit setups over time?

Easiest way is to export your prefab or entire Unity project folder to a backup drive/cloud. Also, use version control like Git or just keep labeled folders for each setup. Saved me so many headaches.

Screenshots are your best friend not just for the memories, but for recreating those exact vibes later. I also keep a little notepad with item names like it’s my own secret fashion archive. It’s low-tech but glitch-proof!

When you say "avatar look or outfit presets," there are a few layers to this, depending on whether you're talking about avatars you upload yourself from Unity, or public/clonable avatars you just "wear" in-game.

That's a good question, one that users often grapple with! It's super important to have a good backup strategy, especially if you spend a lot of time customizing.
