I noticed an immediate drop in sales after the recent mobile update. When checking my shop on mobile, I saw that all of the clothing I submitted as "unisex" has been moved exclusively into the unisex category.
I create men's clothing that is also compatible with female avatars. My target audience is men, so these products should continue to appear in the men's category while also being listed as compatible in the unisex section. Most shoppers looking for men's clothing are not going to browse the unisex category first.
This update is negatively affecting creator sales because it changes how customers discover our products. The unisex category is useful for showing compatibility, but it should not replace the original clothing category. unisex is a compatibility designation, not a gender category.
A better approach would be to keep clothing in its original category, men's or women's ," while also displaying it in the unisex section if it is compatible with both avatar types. That would preserve product visibility for shoppers while still highlighting cross-avatar compatibility.
