I deleted my account...help!

Accidentally deleted your account? Don’t worry. We can help with that.


First, check the email account you have associated with your IMVU account. You should have received an email with the subject “IMVU Alert: Your account has been deleted.” That email includes a link to reactivate your account that will work 30 days after deactivating. After this point, your account may no longer be recoverable. If you're not receiving emails, check out this article. This will only work if you had verified your email previously.

REMINDERS:

  • If you deactivate or delete an account logged in with Apple or Facebook, and you change your mind, you will not be able to reactivate your account as an Apple or Facebook account. The account will reactivate as a regular IMVU login. 

  • Deleting your account permanently deletes all personal data associated with your account, too. You will not be able to regain access to your account once it has been completely deleted. You will have a few days to contact the customer support team if you change your mind, but there’s no guarantee that your account will be recoverable.

If you are unable to find that email, if it didn’t work, or if you do not have access to the email linked to your account, we can still help you. Simply file a support ticket through our Help Center.

For those using IMVU Mobile, we've prepared the steps below outlining how you can file a ticket to contact us:


STEP 1. Open your mobile browser and go to support.imvu.com/support/home.
STEP 2. Tap on the hamburger icon on the upper right and tap "Login".
STEP 3. In the slide-out menu, tap Submit a ticket.
STEP 4. Fill out the details of your issue. You may also attach screenshots or other files pertinent to your concern. Afterwards, tap on Submit.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to check the box “I agree to IMVU’s Terms and Conditions” for your case to go through. 


Make sure to include your avatar name and the very first email address (the one you used to sign up). It might be helpful to include any other account specific information, such as where you created your account, the last 4 digits of any credit card used to make a purchase for your avatar, etc. Once we receive this information, we’ll investigate and return your account to you as quickly as possible.
