First, keep in mind that if you are a minor (i.e., below 18 years old), you will not be able to hide your age -- doing so is a violation of our Terms of Service.
To hide your age, simply follow the steps outlined below:
Option 1: Hiding Your Age in the Avatar Card
STEP 1: Click on the Account menu on the upper-right side of any IMVU page.
STEP 2: Scroll down to the Avatar Card section. From here, untick the My Age checkbox. The Avatar Card preview should update accordingly.
Note: To show your age, simply check the My Age tick box again.
Option 2: Hiding Your Age in the Homepage
Your age on the avatar homepage can be hidden by purchasing a sticker through our Catalog and placing it on top of the Age section. Many developers sell rectangular stickers that specifically fit over that area.
On IMVU Desktop & Website
STEP 1: Log into IMVU Desktop or Website and click on your profile icon on the upper right side.
STEP 2: Select Edit Profile.
STEP 3: Scroll down and toggle the Show Age switch off.
STEP 4: Click Save, and you’re done!
Note: You can follow the same steps to display your age again by simply switching the Show Age toggle on.
On IMVU Mobile (iOS & Android)
STEP 1: Launch your IMVU Mobile app and tap your profile icon located at the upper part of the homepage.
STEP 2: On the upper right side, tap Edit.
STEP 3: Scroll down and toggle the Age switch off.
Note: You can follow the same steps to display your age again by toggling the Age switch on.
