How many points do I need to reach each Tier Level?
What are the submission fees for each Tier Level?
What is the minimum Tier to be a Pro Creator?
Pro Creators are Tiers 7 and above.
What are the exact Sales, Creation, and Bonus Point activities needed for each Tier level?
The exact Sales, Creation, and Bonus Point requirements are subject to change, so we are not disclosing specific numbers at this time.
What’s the difference between “Total Points Achieved” and “Total Points” in the “My Tier” Dashboard?
Total Points Achieved - The actual number of points you’ve earned.
Total Points - The number of points counted toward your Tier after applying the Maximum Points limit.
For Example:
If you earn 60 points for Creation, but the maximum allowed is 45 points, your Total Points for Creation will be 45.
How do I read the date range on my “My Tier” Dashboard?
Your Tier level is based on your activity from the previous calendar month.
For Example:
If the date range is “2020-May-01 and 2020-Jun-01”, your Tier score reflects activity from May 1 to May 31, 2020.
What does the Maximum Points column mean in the “My Tier” Dashboard?
The Maximum Points column shows the highest number of points you can earn for each category or activity.
Categories
Creation - 45 points max
Sales - 70 points max
Bonus Points - 45 points max
Activities
Each specific activity can earn between 10 and 45 points, depending on the activity and its value.
For Example:
- The maximum number of points you can get for “Product Sold” under the Sales category is 30.
- The maximum number of points you can get for “New Mesh Submissions” under the Creator category is 45.
Where can I find my Creator Dashboard?
You can access it here: Creator Dashboard. Click on the "My Tier" tab.
Why is the Greeter Program included in the Tier Program?
We want to reward Creators who contribute to the IMVU community. If you’re unable to participate in this program, we encourage you to engage in Peer Review instead.
Are Helpers included in the "Greeter & Community Volunteers" category?
Helpers are generally not included, but IMVU staff may make exceptions for long-term Helpers who have made significant contributions to IMVU Discussions.
Can I earn Developer Tokens for participating in Peer Review?
Yes! Here’s how to set your preferences for earning Developer Tokens in Peer Review:
Sign in to IMVU.
Go to Account Settings.
In the Creator Preferences section, select Dev Tokens under “Peer Review Rewards”, then click Update Creator Preferences.
Once set, you’ll receive one Developer Token for each item reviewed.
Note: Reviewing Peer Review products can help expedite the processing of your items pending in Peer Review
Do products need to pass Peer Review to count in the Tier Program?
Creation metrics: Do not require Peer Review.
Sales metrics & Sellable Items: Do require Peer Review.
Do I earn Tier Points for gifting or purchasing my own products?
Yes! Any product purchase—whether it's your own or someone else’s—counts toward your Tier Points, including gifts.
Why should I participate in Peer Review when some users get kicked out of it?
We only revoke Peer Review privileges for two reasons:
Passing an obviously inappropriate (UFI) product.
Not consistently voting in alignment with the majority.
There’s a misconception that failing a product that ultimately passes puts your voting privileges at risk—this is not true. Additionally, as of March 3, 2020, we reward reviewers with extra promotional credits for identifying broken or incorrectly rated products.
Learn more about Peer Review here.
Why are Creation metrics included in the Tier Program? Won’t it flood the catalog?
Creation was always part of the previous program, and we believe it’s vital to IMVU. However, we have a cap of 45 points to prevent creators from flooding the catalog.
Why aren’t my “New Mesh Submissions” and “New Texture & Animation Submissions” being counted?
New submissions are calculated monthly, and your Tier is based on the previous month’s activity. For example, in June, your Tier reflects activity from May 1 to May 31.
Do Outfits, Bundles, and Decorated Rooms count in the Tier Program?
Not directly. These are counted under "Sales (derived)" under the Sales category, meaning each individual item within them contributes to your Sales metrics.
Are Avatars counted as Meshes?
If an Avatar contains a mesh file, it is counted as a Mesh.
If an Avatar only has .xaf files (animation files), it is counted as an Animation.
Do Music Boxes count toward Creation?
Only if they contain a texture, animation, or mesh file. Music boxes with just a sound trigger do not count.
Are Meshes and Textures weighted equally in the Tier Program?
No. Meshes earn more points than Textures. If a Mesh contains a Texture, it is counted as a Mesh.
Do Textures and Animations earn the same amount of points?
Yes! Textures and Animations are weighted equally in the Tier Program.
