What are Bonus Points?

Creators can earn Bonus Points while making products for their shop and building their brand.  For more details about Bonus Points activities, take a look at your Creator Dashboard under “My Tier” https://www.imvu.com/creators/creator_dashboard.php

Using IMVU Studio gets you more Tier Points!

We are now offering extra Creation Tier value for creating and submitting products in IMVU Studio.

IMVU Classic (Client) Products have not lost any Tier value, we are simply giving additional value to IMVU Studio products.

Download IMVU Studio here: https://create.imvu.com/imvu-studio-beta/

EXAMPLE OF HOW USING IMVU STUDIO GETS YOU MORE TIER POINTS

This set of products made in IMVU Classic gives you 10 Tier points.

The same set of products made in IMVU Studio gives you 25 Tier points.

Am I required to participate in Bonus Points to reach the Top Tier?

You don’t need to engage in Bonus Points activities to reach Tier 10. You can achieve top Tier status through Creation and Sales alone.

Will Peer Review Take Longer because of the new Tiers System?

We’re always actively monitoring Peer Review to make sure there are enough voters to handle the load. After the first 24 hours, products are passing through Peer Review at the same speed as they were before this Tiers change.

Why should I do Peer Review when people are just getting kicked out anyway?

We remove Peer Review privileges for one of two reasons: voting Pass on a very obvious UFI product or not consistently voting with the majority outcome of the product. There’s a misconception that if you correctly fail a product and it ultimately passes that you are at risk of losing your voting privileges. This is not true. We actually expect that most active Peer Reviewers should NOT be at 100% accuracy, and the rule that removes people from Peer Review takes that into account.

Why is the Greeter Program included?

We want to recognize Creators who contribute to the community. If you are unable to join this program we encourage you to participate in Peer Review.

Are Helpers included in the “Greeter & Community Volunteers?”

Helpers are normally not included but IMVU Staff reserve the right to make exceptions for long term Helpers who have been exceptional in the IMVU Discussions.

Do I get Tier points for gifting someone? Or purchasing my own products?

If you purchase a product, whether your own or someone else’s, it will be counted towards Tier points. This includes gifts as well.

I am a Creator. Can I receive Developer Tokens for Peer Review?

Yes you can. Here's how to set your Preferences for earning Developer Tokens in Peer Review.

STEP 1. Sign into IMVU.

STEP 2. Go to your Account Settings and Tools by clicking the Account button, or by going here: https://www.imvu.com/catalog/web_myaccount.php.

STEP 4. Once your preference is set to Dev Tokens, you will receive one Developer Token for each item reviewed.

Have Credit Transfer Limits changed in the new Tiers System?

The limits for each Tier are not drastically different. Tier 0 and 10 Creators have the same limits as Tier 0 and Tier 7 in the old system. Tiers 1 through 9 Creators have the same limits as the old system, but they are spread evenly among 9 levels instead of 6.
