IMPORTANT: Unfriending or blocking your IMVU partner will terminate your IMVU marriage.

Please be reminded that the IMVU divorce is final. Upon divorcing, you will receive a pop-up that will notify you of the effects. Rooms that you share with your partner such as the Our Room or Shared Room will permanently lose once divorce has been confirmed. This will also happen when you unfriend or block your spouse

On IMVU Website/Desktop

When you unfriend your Husband or Wife through their profile on IMVU Website or Desktop you will receive a confirmation pop up stating that it will cause you to be divorced on IMVU and the marriage room will lose. Click “Unfriend/Divorce” to continue.

On IMVU Classic Website

Removing your Spouse as a Friend on Classic Website will also result to divorce and losing the marriage room or other shared room you have with your Spouse, a confirmation pop up will appear, select “OK” to continue.

IMPORTANT: A similar warning pop-up is being developed for IMVU Mobile. If you are on mobile, please be careful in taking action to avoid unexpected divorce.

My partner and I decided to divorce. How are we going to proceed?

If the marriage does not work out, the avatars may ultimately file for divorce. You may do so by going to the Divorce Page. Once decided, click “Yes, I want a divorce.” to confirm.

Please take note that divorce is final and irreversible. Neither refunds nor re-granting of the Marriage Package may be issued to divorced avatars. Once divorced, if you wish to remarry, you will need to purchase a new Marriage Package on IMVU Store.
