How to Report Chat Room Messages

At IMVU, user safety and community integrity are our top priorities. If you encounter troubling messages or content, we encourage you to flag them by following the steps outlined below for various platforms.


Reporting on IMVU Classic

1. Flagging via Avatar:

  • Click on the user’s avatar. 
  • Click on the flag icon. 
  • Select “Flag Chat”.

2. Flagging via Chat:

  • Hover your mouse over the inappropriate message.
  • Click on the flag icon. 
  • Select “Flag Chat”.

3. Submitting the Flag: 

  • A pop-up showing the room’s chat history will appear. 
  • Click on the “Flag” button in the lower right corner.

Your report will be sent to the appropriate team for review.

Reporting on IMVU Desktop & Website

1. Selecting the Content: 

  • Click on the inappropriate message. 
  • Select "Report".

2. Confirming the Report: 

  • A pop-up will appear. 
  • Confirm your report by clicking the “Report” button.

A confirmation message will appear. Click “Done” to close it.
