            This is an important update for Grandfathered Creators.

             

            In the announcement below we stated that starting July 1, 2023, all Earn Money Creators, including Grandfathered Creators, will be required to have either Platinum or Diamond VIP in order to be in the Earn Money Program and receive cash payouts. 

             

            (This requirement does not affect Grandfathered Creators who are subscribed to legacy VIP (from before Tiered VIP launched).

             

            We realize this is a huge change for many Grandfathered Creators and have been closely following feedback regarding this new policy.

             

            Based on your valuable input, we have come up with a solution that should make it easier for affected Creators to transition. 

             

            Details are as follows:

             

            LINKED ACCOUNTS FOR GRANDFATHERED CREATORS

             

            1. Starting July 1, 2023, Creators will be able to link three Grandfathered Creator accounts together, with only one VIP subscription.
            2. Creators will choose one Grandfathered account for their VIP subscription, and two additional Grandfathered accounts that will not need VIP.
            3. If a Creator already pays for Platinum or Diamond VIP on a non-Grandfathered account, they can apply it to two of their Grandfathered accounts.
            4. All three linked accounts will be eligible for the Earn Money Program and payouts.
            5. Once the accounts are linked, new earnings from these accounts will be combined into one MASA balance. Earnings from before the accounts are linked will not be combined.
            6. Grandfathered accounts that are grouped with a VIP account will not need to apply for the Earn Money Program as long as they have already been approved to participate in the Earn Money Program prior.
            7. Starting August 2023, earnings from the linked accounts can be set up to funnel into the VIP account.

             

            INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO LINK GRANDFATHERED ACCOUNTS

             

            Here’s how to link a Platinum or Diamond VIP Grandfathered account with two additional accounts.

             

            1. Make sure one of your Creator accounts has Platinum or Diamond VIP
            2. Submit a help ticket to the Earn Money Program, requesting linked accounts. List an account that has VIP, and two Grandfathered accounts that do not have VIP.
            3. If any of the linked accounts is not in the Earn Money Program, those account(s) will need to join to earn money and request a payout. All accounts will be able to apply to the Earn Money Program without a VIP subscription. However, you will not be able to earn money or request a payout until the account has a qualified VIP subscription or is linked to a Grandfathered account with a qualified VIP subscription.
            4. Once the team receives your ticket (and your Earn Money application(s) if applicable), they will:
              1. Check to make sure the accounts are owned by you
              2. Confirm your Earn Money Program application has been accepted.
            5. As soon as your accounts are approved, the team will link them together, so all three can be in the Earn Money Program with only one VIP subscription

             

            ADDITIONAL BENEFIT - JULY ONLY

             

            Between July 1 and July 30, Earn Money accounts with less than $50 can convert their balances into Credits. To receive Credits, send a help ticket to the Earn Money team.

            This is an important notice for Creators who are not signed up for VIP but still receive cash payouts in the Earn Money Program.

             

            Starting July 1, 2023, all Earn Money Creators will be required to have either Platinum or Diamond VIP in order to receive cash payouts.

             

            This does not include legacy Creators who signed up for VIP before the Tiered VIP system launched. They already have the equivalent of Platinum VIP and do not need to take any action.

             

            CLARIFICATION:

            1. Added 5/18/23: By "legacy Creators" we mean Grandfathered Creators. Grandfathered Creators without VIP will still be able to create, submit to their shop and earn Credits.
            2. When this new requirement is introduced, Grandfathered Creators without VIP will still be able to create, submit to their shop and earn Credits.
            3. Added 5/23/23 - You will not be able to earn cash or receive payouts unless you purchase Platinum or Diamond VIP. Once you join VIP you can earn cash and receive payouts. You will not lose existing cash balances. They will simply not be available without VIP.

            Why am I not shocked that a multimillion dollar corporation like IMVU, a social media company, I might add, couldn't be bothered to even throw an intern in RigsK's place during their absence? Does someone know the CEO's email address? Maybe we should be directing our questions there?

            Reality check, without @RigsK​ no one else would even bother to answer. My payout is also late for the same reason, and it's been late since the start of this year probably for the same reason. I am so going crazy right now.

            Is anyone going to address how the delay due to the "Issues with Paypal" will affect these transitions and the July 1st deadline? We have bills to pay. I'm trying to be patient. Others have waited more than two weeks, I'm only about a week into the wait, but:show-me-the-money

            Seriously - so few questions and legitimate concerns have been addressed. This entire process of “monitoring the thread” is essentially just making a fake showing of caring. There are so many issues with the rollout of this that anyone with minimal project/process management experience would have pointed out had they cared to evaluate it.

             

            I have plenty of suggestions on how they could at least save face here but I feel my time to type them up is probably wasted at this point.

            that is not what they said.. basically what they saying you ether have vip or you dont . if you allready got one ya fine, if you dont go get one buster . or you not getting payed.they sat and thought about this long and hard how to get rid of grandfathered creators and make them pay. they hate us lol !its obvious we are pain in the rearest for them . so they finally came up with this idea. we cans till create because thats the agreement we hadback then if we buy names,how ever it was no mention of money payouts .. how ever ...now there is a but when they made us move over to money programm there was another agreement that if we move over we will get money payout without any additional purchases ect. soteoretically if some one wanted to argue in court its doable thatw hat they trying to pull off here is stagered cheating .

            But... its fine by me - because i wont pay for it you lot are.. Ill put 50 % more on my meshes and my items .so i wont suffer -the customer will.your future catalog will be very expensive indeed Imvu and that is how you will start loosing your clients.thats how you wanna play it - fine by me ..I am sure thats exactly what the rest of creators will start doing too because they also need to live...

            Every time I try to get into a new video game I'm struck by the fact that nowadays many of them are just chock full of instant gratification micro-rewards. It's meant to continuously poke the portion of your brain that releases dopamine, and is a blatant attempt to form an addiction. (Bear with me; I'll get back around to predits).

             

            The problem is that psychological studies show that people inherently don't value as much things that they get for free. While some individuals will buck that trend, the herd won't. So I'm pretty certain that those games that are poking the dopamine receptors so aggressively are in fact only creating a short term customer; one who doesn't actually value their product. Once their monkey on their back finds another pusher, they're gone.

             

            IMVU has been attempting to do that with their little bs predit dispensaries. This is monstrous, since they're the pusher, but we're the people the addict pukes all over and otherwise abuses.

            Has any one noticed since the drop in giving away so many free predits they have now brought this in. Looks to me like even after the giving away of credits the kids never bought into this game and the very people who warned them are taking the slack.

            Imagine trying to make a new system, when your old system is FAILING. WHEN am I gonna get my payout, the imvu staff is literally clueless its been over a week and nothing, this is ridiculous. Theres so many alternatives other than unreliable paypal, but no that would never change either because imvu dgaf

            I really hope someone from staff is still monitoring this thread. I still have unanswered questions.

             

            Then there's the payout delay. Can we get an update on that? What happens if it continues past June 30? Will we just be screwed by MASA?

             

            It would be nice to know that someone other than Rigs cares.

            7 days i have now been waiting, and even after speaking with CS this morning i was advised there is no end in sight. All i can say is, good luck to anyone thinking they are getting money by the July1st pay out date,..(from CS this morning........There is no specific time frame when it will wok. Please contact us back after 48 hours to check for an update. )
