All of this has me wondering if anyone's ever contacted the Department of Labor about the whole MASA debacle and now, this new requirement put in place for sub contractors.

Not a stupid question and I would most definitely say yes as it's required for you to obtain your money. It's a business expense as in you absolutely need it to do business here.

I have a stupid question, so I expect a stupid answer. Are we now able to write off VIP on taxes as a business expense?

Yeah, but I'll bet staff isn't paid their wages based on some kind of MASA garbage and staff are actual employees who get a W2 at the end of the year. Getting VIP for free isn't something I'd consider a perk. Covered parking is a real job perk. LOL

So after the Risgk staff confirm here that you can earn or cash out with out having VIP platinum. First of all IMVU credits value depreciates after they are purchase. We do not get paid back the same value it cost. Secondlife the lindens do not depreciates you get paid back the same value. Second at what point is it enough to cont accept this abuse. Should you ever stay in a abusive relationship. This is mental abuse manipulation. We sit here and debate with are self if we should accept this treatment and say they one day appreciate us like a victims of abuse. The relationship with IMVU and the creators here will never get better I will never be mended. Your value to this company is you are a cash mule slave. This should be more enough for you to put your shops on display and to leave this company and stop make them money. Because you not even seeing half of what your making being put back in your pocket. Lastly this need to get spreaded on every media outlet because they hoping to work with unity developers they need to know what kind monster this company is. We need to warn people and take action outside this form because we not going win no battles here. The ship already sinking guys let help them out and drag them to the ocean with they bs.

Immediately after the update from Rigs I began typing a response where I calculated everything I've contributed to IMVU and was going to suggest everyone else do the same thing. Then I decided I was making it too much about me (and that it would get deleted), but it also depressed me when I did some assumptive math and realized how much more the company has benefited from my efforts than me. I would actually be fine with that if they actually showed gratitude, rather than treating us like serfs. They should be saying, 'Hey, if you want VIP, we'll cut you a deal because of all you've done for us.' Nope. We just get bent over without even being treated to McDonalds.

What's good for one is good for all.. Staff gets IMVU Money just as we do.. But I bet their little VIP badges comes as a job Perk not a requirement.

Shouldn't IMVU be required to "cash out" all creators who get cash payments before they implement this VIP requirement? I mean, that money is owed to the creators and it's not their IMVU has a policy in place that stops creators from obtaining everything owed to them on a monthly basis or that IMVU has now added a new layer to stop them from getting their money.

They're just gonna use the excuse that creators aren't employees and IMVU Staff are. Creators are at the bottom of the food chain where IMVU is concerned which I find sadly comical since creators are the only reason IMVU has lasted as long as it has. Without creators the site would be dead but they'll never have to find that out because the creators continually allow them to use them as slave labor doormats.

Oh My Gravy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we are not even allowed to earn cash if we don't have VIP.. That was not in the memo... All it says is that we couldn't receive cash payouts. Not that we would be stopped from procuring cash all together,, Sneaky Sneaky IMVU.. @Aislinn​  You were spot on about this one.. Nailed It (GF) Credits don't buy squat in the real world.. (Pharmacy>>Your Lupus medication is 150 dollars this month) "Me>>Do you take credits in lieu of cash? IMVU says they are good I swear" (Pharmacy>. Laughs Me Out the building) See how this is going to work IN THE REAL WORLD... For crying out loud... Ya all get paid for your real world Jobs... SO SHOULD WE!!!!! Goes all Ham and Cheese..... Riddle me this.... Does IMVU Staff Have to buy VIP with their own earnings in order to access your Paychecks????................... I Will Wait...

@RigsK​ Do accounts without VIP still earn credits then?

Can I pay for VIP with the many thousands of DT's I own?

I have a few back burner accounts that make around $10 a month, so does mean I am now essentially paying to run those to break even, or no now I guess I just let them die, or make you money solely right? (Absolutely nothing against you Rachel, you are cool, but your higher ups are proving themselves to be uncaring leeches)

Can we confirm the ability to purchase the Yearly vip package somehow, since that will obviously be best, if and when people decide to continue the circle of pain.

@RigsK​ Why would IMVU do that to the creators? That is money that is already owed to them for work they have already submitted and sold. Wouldn't it be more efficient to keep those loyal creators that built your catalog happy by maybe stating anything earned after July 1st needs to have VIP but anything prior to that can be cashed out until the balance is gone?

Well that's just great. We have to pay taxes on that money, whether it is blocked by a paywall or not. I'm ending my post here before I say something that will get my account deleted, but I'm thinking very bad thoughts right now.
