The whole MASA setup is by design to keep funds in IMVU's pockets as long as possible. By setting a limit on what can be requested and making it much lower than that creator's potential earning level it ensures IMVU won't have to give them all their money and by adjusting the MASA based on the creator's sales and productivity it continues to prevent the creator from ever obtaining all the funds in their account (if they're a bigger creator). Folks like me with a $500 MASA who work months to get just $50 out of their account are okay but we don't pull thousands of dollars per month. If a creator earns $5K in a month but their MASA is $3K IMVU gets to hang onto the additional $2K.

It really is. My MASA is so low I can't even save up the money I need to pay my bills every other month and cash out anymore. This is ridiculous how is anyone supposed to make a living off of this????

I feel like times like this should show that there is a problem with the way MASA works.... our MASA shouldn't go down for things out of our control such as this... I feel like its unfair

Does IMVU not get that the technology they're touting is SERIOUSLY lacking when compared to other virtual environments? Anyone who might stumble into IMVU from another environment will run (hop on dots) away screaming. The numbers she's throwing out there about daily users and items in the catalog are inflated and inaccurate...items that are nothing more than duplicates don't count and shouldn't be included if we're talking about NFTs...aren't NFTs supposed to be one of a kind items or am I missing something here? Also, if what she's talking about is so groundbreaking why has the video been seen less than 30 times and liked by one person in 2 weeks? Does IMVU really believe the folks like Zuck are gonna jump onboard their VCOIN train and not just develop their own currency which will be far more likely to be used? Maybe I'm just not getting it but I kinda don't care so there's that too. LOL

even with the resellers i could depend on SIGNIFICANTLY MORE than today! (and that was seven years ago!)

this aint progress imvu!...as a business model, youre a shambles!

So it looks like 98 is a marketing team developed during the pandemic because kids be bored. Someone there must have a connection to someone at IMVU and they saw IMVU get 35M in investments early last year and figured they'd get a chunk of the pie by selling them on the dumbest idea ever? IMVU wasted money marketing to a group of people who already have a social outlet and don't need IMVU. I just can't.

This is ... depressing. I understand that Gen Z needs to be an audience that is marketed to, 100% - but come on. Sacrifice the rest of your audience and user base for another? This is just bad business.

IMVU has gone all in on Barbie movie release next year and think their target market for more customers is stereotyped is dancing hottie airheads on TicTok, and this is coming off the back of the whole Kardashian push. They basically state they're flipping their fingers at the geek kids.... cos we got Style

The other thing no one has mentioned is how many are actually doing their own deving, less people buying more people making their own products, more money in imvu pockets less for developers wanting to earn.
