Is anyone else seeing a drastic drop in sales over the last couple of months? I'm down by $1-200 a fortnight on what I used to earn. This is way more than usual fluctuations. I'm worried.

How about a New Innovative Off-Site Ad Campaign inviting people to join IMVU and spend real money?

Ad Topics:

  • Where can you buy a complete Homestead for under $1 ?
  • Would you like to spend the night on the town for Free?
  • Let's spend a weekend at the Beach for pennies a day!
  • Join a Car Race for less than $1
  • Dance Dance Dance, Join for Free!

NO, it won't give "Instant" revenue for all of us but will probably help 6 months or a year down the road. Those new people who discover the "Real" IMVU and spend "Real Money"

New Comers shouldn't be invited by Sex driven ads.

They should be invited here for a Life-Style! those who come here for entertainment, enjoying life, celebrating owning many different properties, etc. are the ones who will spend real money. The ones who fall in love with their account will STAY and SPEND!

I know some here will disagree, not read or understand what I have said... It's okay...

Especially when those people don't stay and never spend a dime here. We're forced to give away our goods for free and IMVU can claim XXX amount of users but when those users only sign on for a few minutes to take photos how valuable are they?

Then they have to either reduce the promo sales or give us a percentage of it as income, it’s not our fault they want to give away credits to people, I mean seriously!!

There has definitely been an increase in promo sales. My amount of sales is pretty steady but my income keeps dropping.

I haven't gotten an email for a sale in 4 days. I used to get an email notification every time I had a sale but haven't gotten one since the 15th. Where are they? Why did they stop? I didn't change any settings so why am I not getting my notification emails? Not that it matters when I'm getting 3-5 sales per day but I still like to know what's selling without having to hunt down my numbers on the website.

Just wanted to share this graph of my sales over the past 12 months. You can see before the Christmas spike they were very steady. I'm now earning just 60% of what I was then and they continue to fall.

In my opinion, the concept of promo credits in general is ridiculous. Give these newbies real credits. 5k for joining, only after they've verified their email address and set up two-factor authentication to protect their account and logged into next or the app via their phone. Then give them the 5k and encourage them to shop.

You know what would really encourage them to shop? Give them back their free rooms. I have no idea why y'all took those away. It makes zero sense to me. No one is buying anything because they can't show it off. They can't make a room and publish it publicly unless they pay 30$ ON TOP of whatever it costs them in credits to actually purchase the room shell and furniture. I wouldn't spend credits in the shop as a newbie anymore either, it's just not worth it.

Another thing: Make the shopping experience less monotonous. I will not shop on next or the new desktop client. The shop is ugly, and boring and really, really unappealing. Give us back control of our thumbnails and the ability to attach html pages to our products IN shop, so we can actually market our products the way we want them to be marketed. I know, I know - you don't want the ugly, lazy thumbnails in the shop - I'm not saying remove your new thumbnails - make them an option for creators if they CHOOSE to use them, but allow us the ability to make our own, custom thumbnails if we want. And give us more ways to market. Create a new kind of room that's designed to be an "in-game shop" and then gift it to new users who sign up to be creators so they can create their own little in-world shopping experience where users can visit and physically purchase things they've created, right there in the chat room.

Just some ideas.

Re: Promo Giveaway to new accounts... Hear me out. No scan reading, plz...

Would it be better to discourage those making "throw-away" accounts? I mean those who come on IMVU make a quick account, spend the free promos, chat up some people and never use the same account again.

What if the ~2500 free promos credits (pc) were given out over a period of days/logins *and* What if a bonus of say 1000pc were given when they verify their email?

If new people were awarded say 500pc on the first day and informed they would be awarded another 500pc on the 2nd, 3rd, day login. They could be awarded 500pc for each day they login thus giving the experience of spending, etc. Also, consider giving them a bonus of 1000pc to register their email address. All of this up to the normal 2500pcs given.

They could login 5 days (training to login frequently) and get all 2500pcs r they could login 3 days and verify the email and get the 2500pcs.

WHY? Better use of Promo Credits for new users.

  • This trains the person to come back to IMVU and have a different day experience.
  • This gives them opportunity to experience saving & buying, in general.
  • By verifying the Email and logging in several times, they are more likely to stay.
  • Higher hassle factor for those who make the throw-away accounts and never come back.

Consider these....

I know IMVU used to adjust these things as the IMVU ecosystem changed.

When the economy was good, less the frequency of Credits on sale.

When economy was bad they had more frequent real Credit sales.

By the same token when the economy got real bad, fewer promo credits were given out.

When the grocery store is very stressed for income, it is not the time to have a "Buy one and get 3 free", giveaway.

Please consider adjustment the economic system

It's almost as if they want sales to drop so the MASA drops and they have to give everyone less of their own money
