My Halloween sales are way down. as was my 4th of July Sales. these are usually my best sales holidays. I am not even getting a quarter of my usual sales. A real bummer! it makes me really think hard about giving it up.

True, true. You know I have watched many ZCD Creators over the years. Some customers *think* paying a higher price means a better product. The whole marketing things is just weird. This might be a way around Predit sales, raise your prices? Sell 2 instead of 5? make twice the profit because you missed to Predit sale and made more margin. LOL

If anyone ever figures out this mix of goop, please remove the pits from the punch bowl for the rest of us?

i haven't really thought it this way before, but its true, many creators had to actually drop down their prices to try to compete with the product farms and even the thieves that stole their products and set them to a marginal profit of just a couple of credits per sale. Sadly this is hard to fix, it has to do with how much a creator value their work vs having a competitive final price.

I find it interesting the two different camps in here about sales. There's the "IMVU needs to do better" and the "I need to do better". It's clear the first group is the much louder group and it makes sense because they are the ones feeling slighted. Unfortunately this isn't a black and white issue. Yes, IMVU could make some changes that would help the creators. I think the predit only section of the catalog would be great. A bigger issue, I think, is the number of creators who have devalued the catalog as a whole over the years. Back in the day things use to cost more and predits were used up faster, then some product farms popped in and lowered the price of everything and everyone followed suite just to compete. This is a big problem and it's cost us all.

Besides my inability to change room shells 90% of the time i have a sneeking suspicion that if you have a room open or using it in core you cant enable it in studio.

Yes most of my room bundles are sold via promos- i really dont know why they gave clothing bundles priority AGAIN over room creators - at LEAST in secondlife you have the option of making a product a gift.

The biggest kick in the face for us is people just use the rooms in shop mode can invite your friends too and take pics and post to your hearts content so why buy right?

I think it's really sad this is even still an issue more than 6 months later and IMVU has offered zero solutions to the drop in sales and increase in predit sales for so many. Not to mention the fact they're still allowing people to buy room bundles with predits...that should have stopped a LONG time ago.

@LestatDeLioncourt​ I'm trying to remember - didn't they give us such an opportunity with developer tokens a few years back and then put ludicrous requirements on the transaction? Something like 1,000 DTs to transfer or a transaction fee?

What would be a wonderful perk is if we were allowed to spend a certain amount of predits monthly despite having credits, and have that amount be linked to our tier level. You know - an actual incentive to achieve, even if its a relatively minor perk. Ever since the credit resalers went away and I not longer had to worry about credit transfer caps all the motivation to be a higher tier level for me vanished. I've been sitting on 38k predits for years, mocking me silently for being (minorly) successful at developing. Its great to be punished for success like that.

You know? We have special ways to get rid of DevTokens... What about giving *Special Days* where Creators can dump Predits.

Dump Predits against IMVU Dev Fees or IMVU Catalog Product Purchases. Predits spent on Things that won't affect other Creators.

Say YaY to "Predits Sink Day(s)" !!!

Okay, even without VIP or a store people are still using predits to buy stuff I made. I've sold 8 items in the past week and 5 of those sales were predits. Yay?

@Nursissistic​ It's certainly not helping. ZCDs are generally hundreds of credits more expensive so the customers who don't know about going up the derive chain (most people who don't create and even some who do) are spending far more than they need to on one item. Credits get burned up faster if people are buying ZCDs and that's what's generally at the front of the catalog because they're the newest items. I've even found ZCD items where the person doing it created one and hid it, then derived from the hidden item so you can't go up the chain. That's some snakey BS right there.
