So my partner's VU classic suddenly started freezing and crashing instantly on opening. This happens immediately every single time it's opened. He sent a support ticket but the "support" just keeps repeating "uninstall, delete appdata, reboot, reinstall".
He has done "uninstall, delete appdata, reboot, reinstall" 10+ times Virus/malware scan has been run.
Checked to see if antivirus was blocking IMVU.
Updated Windows.
We usually use an older version of classic, but the new one has been tried too.
Runs on Win10 with an admittedly older PC, but it worked fine, nothing changed, and now it doesn't.
What else can he try to fix this besides the insanity of repeating the same actions and expecting different results?

@MilaniiMartini I suggest you to download 16 if that doesn’t help need to contact imvu
Im using the latest version of classic 548.24 - I have an 2024 Alienware Laptop with 32gigs of RAM and the fastest internet available (Ive tried wi-fi and LAN)

Ive done the recommended tasks on the help pages as well - odd right? must be on imvu's end if WINDOWS and ALIENWARE say my pc is running perfectly, has beyond the recco'd specs, internet connection is stong, drivers are updated, and firewall/antivirus arent the issue......

Hello quick question - Im having the EXACT ISSUE contacted IMVU - they told me to do bunch of things - nothing worked - I uninstalled and reinstalled all of the avilable versions of imvu - that didnt work - i uninstalled cleared appdata and reinstalled - that didnt help - i did a soft factory reset - that didnt work - i did a FULL factory reset - that didnt work - i contacted Windows - they ran diagnostics - updated drivers - that didnt work - i contacted ALIENWARE (DELL) - they ran additional diagnostics - updated drivers etc - that didnt work -
Alienware says imvu runs on basically very low reco's so it SHOULD BE WORKING as my PC quite advanced.
What is the MAP Destroyer?
Nothing else is working.......

Nevermind he fixed it himself with a free map destroyer. Suggestion for you all if the copypasta "tech support" doesn't work.
