The music in the classic version of IMVU is not playing. While the mixes are loading, no sound is coming through. I have cleared the cache and reinstalled the program, and my sound devices are all up to date and functioning properly. This issue of the music not playing affects all classic users. It seems that ever since mobile phones became capable of receiving radio signals, classic users have been experiencing this problem with the mixes.

IMVU really once again here we go with the music not playing drama last time the playlist were completely scrambled I was listening to somebody else's music now the players don't work at all after that big defective update I would like to know what is going on and how you are going to fix this mess I spent way too much money on credits to buy this music so please fix this pronto

i have music from the music store an i cant play no music why is that and if we cant play no music that we got with our credits that we paid for with money is there away for me to get my money back from all the music that i have now and cant play no more couldnt play my music for days now We need options to restore, compensate , or fairly replace what we’ve lost WITH OUR MONEY WE SPENT TO MUCH MONEY ON THIS MUSIC

We hope this message finds you well! As long-time supporters of IMVU, we genuinely appreciate the creativity and community this platform fosters. Since March 2025, however, we've encountered some challenges with the music store and mix builder tool becoming unavailable, which has left us unable to enjoy the music we previously purchased. With so much time, creativity, and credits invested in our music and room mixes, it's been quite a disappointment for our group.
We understand that issues can arise, and we’ve noticed communication assuring us that "engineers are working on it." However, after more than two months, we're eager for more clarity regarding this situation.
With that in mind, we kindly request the following:
1. An official public statement from IMVU to clarify the current status of the music provider and whether our beloved music mixes will return.
2. Should returning the music not be feasible, we’d love to see fair alternatives and compensation for our invested credits.
3. It’s important for our community that IMVU promotes open dialogue, allowing users to express their concerns positively and without fear of repercussions.
We address this with respect and hopeful hearts, trusting that IMVU values its dedicated users and will strive for transparency and a positive resolution.

My IMVU character is a priest; this is public knowledge, but I also come here to have fun, and that's why I've invested over 300,000 credits buying a wide variety of music. When we used the platform to buy music, there was never a warning that something like this could happen to us. Now we need IMVU to compensate us for all the money we've invested. It's our real money, since it was only purchased with real credits directly.

The problem is very simple: the music in the IMVU store was provided by a third party, and the provider discontinued its services, causing the store to stop working. The music continued to play accidentally until the latest update, when it disappeared completely. The only solution for IMVU was to find another provider that offered the same service as the previous one. Instead, they used the new in-room music system, which only works with IMVU Beta and IMVU Mobile, completely forgetting about IMVU Classic users, who have been paying for our music for over 16 years, as well as VIPs and others. I invested a lot of money in music, and it simply ceased to exist, and with it, all my investment and that of all the users who have supported this platform with their regular payments for almost two decades. They should be so kind as to give us an explanation or a viable solution to our problem, since we have remained loyal to this platform all this time.

For years, many of us have invested real money into credits, which we used to purchase music for our rooms, our events, and our creative content on this platform. That music wasn’t just entertainment — it was an investment, a way to express ourselves, and part of our identity in IMVU.
Today, that music is being taken away — without warning, without transparency, and without fair compensation.
The responses we've received from customer support are repetitive, vague, and offer no real solution. Meanwhile, the content we paid for continues to disappear.
IMVU must understand that music bought with real credits represents an implicit trust contract between the platform and its users.
As loyal, active, and long-term users, we are asking for the following:
A clear, official explanation about what's happening with the music we've purchased.
Options to restore, compensate, or fairly replace what we've lost.
That this situation be treated seriously — not ignored or brushed off with copy-paste replies.
IMVU has survived because of its community. And this community is now speaking up. We demand solutions — not silence.

Just tried to play a mix last night and while I could cue it up, it would not play! Adding our personal music choices really makes the room or the event come alive. Many songs are personal to us and mean things. Surely you can understand that. I honestly don't understand why this issue cannot be fixed and be in good working order for everyone. Kindly requesting that you look further into this issue. Thanks.
