I have been thinking about how cool it would be to have something you design in a virtual world actually exist in real life. Like a statue. Not sure if this is already a thing or just a random thought.
Has anyone seen anything like this around?

Hey @Matthew. That’s actually a really awesome thought, and you’re not alone in thinking that way! There are creators and platforms out there now that let you turn your virtual designs into real-world items. For example, platforms like My3dselfie let you turn 3D avatars or models into actual statues or collectible figures. There’s also Sketchfab and Blender for designing, and you can export those models for 3D printing using services like Shapeways or Thingiverse. So yeah, the idea is very real and very doable.

@Guest Wait, wait you are telling me I could literally bring my scuffed, purple-haired anime avatar into the real world? Making it guard my keyboard - that's next level flex.
@Matthew your idea got me thinking like, we are already living half our lives in the digital world so why shouldn’t our creations cross over and live with us in the real one or better yet why shouldn't we step into theirs?

Absolutely, it’s a real and growing trend! This is actually becoming more possible now! A lot of creators are using 3D printing to bring their digital characters or designs into the real world. If you can export your avatar as a 3D model (like an .obj or .stl file), sites like Shapeways, HeroForge, or even Sketchfab-connected printers can help turn that into an actual statue. Some people also use Blender to clean up or pose their models before printing.
