So, somebody randomly sent me a friend request claiming to be the alt of a clothing creator I just followed. They sent me a friend request and invited me to chat, so I accepted. Almost immediately, they say that they had tried inviting me to a different room but were notified that my account was "on hold." When I asked about this, they said to go to a supposed IMVU staff member named "JokeInfo" who would tell me what was wrong. This is a known scam, and the scammers use several different accounts to try to get your account information. Most likely they then transfer the credits to their main accounts. Sometimes they may even change their username to try to throw others off to make them think it is not a scam. Supposedly they may even try to pretend to be people you know irl to try to intimidate you (as they are possibly connected to blackmail artists on here). Block the account and report it immediately. These aren't nice people you are dealing with here and are known to lie about others and even create fake screenshots to create fake blackmail with.
