How to chat on IMVU Mobile

No need to stay in front of a computer to chat in your favorite rooms! With IMVU Mobile, you can take the experience anywhere with an Internet connection. Here's how.

STEP 1. Tap on the menu button on the upper-left, and select Chat.

STEP 2. You will be taken to a list of chat rooms. Each item shows the room image, the number of occupants, and the language. You can find a particular room by name using the search function on the upper right. You can also access your Favorite and Recent rooms using the tabs at the top of the page.

Tapping on a room shows you the room card, with the room's description. This will also allow you to flag the room or set it as Favorite through the buttons on the upper-right corner. You can enter the room using the yellow icon on the right.

Upon doing this, your avatar will join the room. There are two types of chat interfaces you can choose from. By default, your chat is set at Limited 3D, which does not include animations but runs smoother on older devices. If your device supports it, you can set the chat to Full 3D and get the full room animations! You can select this by going to the menu and selecting Settings:

Under Graphic Options, choose your preferred mode:

STEP 3. To chat, type your message at the bottom and hit the send icon. You can send WithMojis too, by tapping the smiley icon on the left. Here's how it looks like, in Partial and Full 3D.

You can also access other options by tapping the menu option on the upper-right.

STEP 4. If you are on Full 3D, you can move around the room by tapping once to see all available nodes. Tapping on one of these nodes will show a copy of your avatar showing your next position. Tap again to confirm and move your avi.
