How do I change or correct my age?

If you are 18 or older in real life, you may choose to present your age as any age as long as it is also 18 or above. However, if you are a minor, you are required to enter your real age. If we detect you are a minor with an 18+ age on your account, we will disable your access to IMVU. If you are 18+ and we find out that you have an under-18 display age, we will likewise take action and ban the account.

If you are an adult and you wish to change or correct your age, you may do so by filing a Help Ticket. After we receive the request, we may ask for a clear and legible copy of any Government-issued ID that contains your date of birth for reference. Please note that we can only work with attachments written in the Roman alphabet.

You can also file a support ticket using your mobile phone.

Please do not send us your selfie or ID photos unless we ask for them.

NOTE: The correct age is not necessarily needed if you are looking to get Access Pass or Age Verification -- as long as you are 18 years old or above, you can get both these Upgrades. Both Access Pass and Age Verification will verify your real-life age.
