How do I change or correct my age?

If you are 18 or older in real life, you may choose to present your age as any age as long as it is also 18 or above. However, if you are a minor, you are required to enter your real age. If we detect you are a minor with an 18+ age on your account, we will disable your access to IMVU. If you are 18+ and we find out that you have an under-18 display age, we will likewise take action and disable the account.

If you are an adult and you wish to change or correct your age, you may do so by following these steps:

STEP 1. Go to https://www.imvu.com/catalog/web_myaccount.php. Make sure to log in to your account.

STEP 2. Click “Change DOB” to modify your age.

STEP 3. Click Submit.

Please note that this feature is exclusively for adult users, and you can only set your age to 18 or older.

If you used a minor age and are actually an adult, we will need to have a copy of any official document (e.g., Government-issued ID, Driver's License, Passport, etc.) that verifies your real age. Send us a ticket requesting for the age change, and once we request for the supporting documents you may send them to us by attaching them to a Help Ticket. Please note that deliberately misrepresenting your age from Minor to Adult or Adult to Minor will be a major offense and punishable under IMVU's Terms of Service.
