The preferences you select in IMVU Classic will also be applied in IMVU Web & Desktop normal chat rooms, but currently do not apply to presenters in Live Rooms.
Here are the steps to keep other users from seeing the products in your outfit.
STEP 1. Click the Account link on the upper right of the IMVU page.
STEP 2. Scroll down to Promotion & Feature Settings.
STEP 3. Toggle the radio button to Do not allow other users to see the contents of my outfit under Show Products In Scene.
STEP 4. Confirm by clicking the Update Promotion & Feature Settings button.
