While IMVU keeps your account active even after periods of inactivity, accounts that remain unused for a long time are disabled and marked as "_retired". When this happens, their names can be taken by new users. For example, when "AvatarA" becomes "AvatarA_retired", a new user could sign up under the name "AvatarA".
Retired accounts can no longer be accessed, and we are currently unable to retrieve these avatars.
Please note: If your account remains inactive for 12 consecutive months or longer, we reserve the right to reassign your username to another user upon request. To keep your username, simply log in periodically to ensure your account stays active.
