If I Don't Have Enough Developer Tokens or Credits, Are There Other Ways to Qualify for a Creator Ad Campaign?

Yes! You may have opportunities to win a free Creator Ad campaign through our Creator Contests, which are held several times throughout the year. Watch for contest announcements to learn about upcoming opportunities.

What Are the Benefits of Running a Creator Ad Campaign?

Creator Ads can help expand your Creator business by introducing your products to IMVU users who may not have discovered your shop otherwise. Advertising can increase product visibility, drive traffic to your catalog, and help attract potential customers.

How Do I Measure the Success of My Creator Ad Campaign?

In addition to sales, one useful metric to evaluate is your click-through rate (CTR). CTR measures the percentage of people who view your ad and click on it.

A higher CTR may indicate that your ad creative is attracting attention and encouraging users to learn more about your products. You can also evaluate your campaign's impact by reviewing product visits and sales during and after the campaign.

Do You Have Any Tips for Creating a Successful Creator Ad?

The key to a successful Creator Ad campaign is creating a compelling main image that captures attention and showcases your unique design style or products. Your ad appears alongside other content in the feed, so you have only a few seconds to catch a user's eye and encourage them to learn more about your shop.

Here are some tips to help your ad stand out:

  • Make your main image eye-catching: Use a striking visual that stands out from other content in the feed and captures attention at first glance.

  • Showcase your unique style: Feature examples of your designs or looks created using products available in your shop. Your ad should give users an immediate sense of your creative style and what makes your products special.

  • Promote product collections creatively: If you're advertising a collection, incorporate multiple products into your main image in a visually appealing way. Arrange them so the overall design remains clear, engaging, and easy to understand at a glance.

  • Keep the focus on your products: Avoid overcrowding your image with competing elements that distract from the products or your creative style.

  • Use engaging visuals: Interesting avatar poses, compelling compositions, and close-ups of faces can help draw attention to your ad.

  • Keep your message concise: Use brief, clear copy that tells users what they can discover in your shop.

  • Keep your catalog up to date: Make sure your shop features your latest products and represents your work at its best.

Your main image is your opportunity to make a strong first impression. Creative assets that don't clearly showcase your style or products may struggle to stand out in the feed and attract clicks.

Can I Use Credits or Developer Tokens From My Other Accounts to Pay for an Ad?

Yes! You can pool Credits and Developer Tokens from multiple accounts to pay for a Creator Ad campaign.

When submitting your campaign request, list the account names and the amounts you would like to contribute in the submission form. The IMVU team will verify that the accounts are alternate accounts belonging to the campaign requestor.

You can find the submission forms on the Creator Ad Program page.

How Far in Advance Should I Submit a Campaign Request for Seasonal Events or Holidays?

We recommend submitting your campaign request at least 3–4 weeks in advance of a major seasonal event or holiday.

You should also prepare alternate ad creative that can be used after the event ends, helping you continue promoting your products when seasonal messaging is no longer relevant.

Which Creator Ads Get the Most Clicks?

The performance of an ad depends on its visuals, products, messaging, and audience. Ads that prominently feature faces can help capture attention.

Is My Catalog Reviewed When I Submit a Creator Ad Campaign Request?

Yes. Submitting a Creator Ad campaign request triggers a catalog review.

Before submitting your request, make sure your account and shop are in good standing and that you have sufficient Developer Tokens, Credits, or a combination of both to cover your selected advertising package.

How Are Creator Ads Different From the Creator Product Promotion Program?

IMVU offers two programs to help Creators increase the visibility of their products: Creator Ads and Creator Product Promotion.

Creator Ads are advertising campaigns that showcase your products across IMVU platforms. You can choose from mobile-only or cross-platform packages and pay using Developer Tokens, Credits, or a combination of both.

Creator Product Promotion allows Creators to feature their products in a dedicated section within the IMVU Shop. This program uses Creator Coins, a separate currency designated specifically for Creator Product Promotion.

Each program offers a different way to promote your products, so choose the option that best aligns with your goals.
