Lots of creators will be jumping ship, even ahead of time. Just another update that spells the future of IMVU. This has caused a huge uproar within the creator community which will have major impact on the IMVU community as a whole.

Now with that being said... We signed a w9 form to be able to cash out from imvu. It is technically a job.

Now just for a second... Imagine going in to your place of work, expecting to get your pay day and your boss walks up to you and says... 

"Hey. Youll pay me this much out of your check otherwise you're not getting your check for the month."

And on top of that, there are fees for every little submission for creators.. IMVU already takes a 40% cut per sale and we get pennies per sale.

Creators have been flexible enough for the past almost two decades. IMVU keeps making more and more stupid changes, stuff literally nobody asked for, cares about or even likes, stuff that is making their customer base both old and new leave IMVU for good. Anything from removing the sexuality option, to this update, and anything in between.

And just to reiterate... This will have a huge impact on the IMVU community as a whole.

The damage is being done as we speak, And it will continue to get worse til the day imvu rolls out the update, And even worse the days after.

Oh and as for "grandfathered" "old" "veteran" accounts? (and any name under the sun such things are being given) - you are not the only online service with accounts with such status. But you surely are the first I meet who dares to make changes over the rights such accounts have earned through time. And no, grandfathered accounts are not free accounts. Money have been invested ( after all it is only with an original investment that one can create anyway!) and your company has earned from them. Still is actually. But you all are "evolving" these days and chase for shadows over the moon with crypto currencies and nfts ( all absolute shady online and momentary sources of income, but in no way assurances of future!). Terms like "respect" and "ethics" clearly not part of your vocabularies. So do not presume what people write is disrespectful of your product or your persons. Analyse your own behaviour before as much as daring to go against ... your customers after all . Cheers and happy ... milking around!

The fact that some people rely solely on IMVU for income is a harsh reality, and it's unacceptable that they have to deal with these restrictions! It's OUR hard-earned money!

As a virtual community, IMVU has been successful in creating a platform that allows users to express themselves creatively and connect with others. However, recent changes in the company's policies and practices have left many long-time users feeling frustrated and unheard! IMVU needs to start recognize the value of its loyal user base and take steps to address their concerns.

By listening to feedback and implementing changes that prioritize user satisfaction, IMVU can ensure that it continues to grow and thrive as a virtual community. Failure to do so risks alienating its most dedicated users and driving them away from the platform altogether!!

As such, it is imperative that IMVU begins to prioritize the needs of its users if it hopes to remain relevant in an increasingly competitive market. People are going to find other platforms to make their living off instead. Just watch!

If we do link our accounts 3 for example and like you mentioned masa will be combined… what would be the maximum masa cap for all 3 accounts? From what I know 1 account is limited to 10,000 usd. So does that mean 3 acc = 10,000 usd maximum cap or becomes 30,000? Please clarify. I think you are demanding too much from creators. Especially now where we have to adjust on two platforms imvu studio and imvu classic making sure products work both ways and its not an easy job with all the changes going on.

You are only promoting the imvu next to people that would ditch the app after they have no promo credits to spend instead of valuing imvu classic users who actually spend money and time.

Currently I noticed Iam earning more developer tokens then actual credits and my inbox is filled with the infamous “one of your pending transactions has been reversed. Etc” I believe I’m not the only one in this situation.

These forums are absolutely uncomfortable to browse through. There are no pages, we can only see a limited number of answers per ...scroll I suppose, and the "show more" option just tumbles things up more. I know I replied to (a) thread last night. Probably this, and I know I was also way over my head with dissapointment. So at the risk of repeating myself ( yeah I can't endlessly scroll back and see what I wrote, and in answer to what! - so much about new forums. Actual internet pages with a limited nr of items per page to see would have been better!) - Here is my last input: The service you provide as a company is increasingly declining. The "free" options you think you provide? Are not free. Nothing we upload is free, and imvu gets a cut anyway. The new (now old!) "you all can set your products as derivable" - other shot in the ethics leg - already came with a wave of new creators who have no idea what it is they are even deriving from. The more derivations from a product, the higher the cut imvu gets. So ultimately - as many have already noticed - this does look like a sinking ship, and I must be greateful for the fun and inspiration it has brought me. The meagre income was a fun way to pay for my online fun from my online fun. But imvu is no longer fun. As a person not in the least affected by all this ( ultimately I neither depend on imvu nor care about their ins and outs for profit) I remain utterly dissapointed and underline their LACK OF ETHICS! And yes I do not recognize in today's owners of this business any of the old ones who created this place and set it as a positive thing in which the feeling of care for the customer was passed on. Mind I talk about the vibe of the place. If any of the original creators of the platform are still out there - sincerest apologies. Today tis just a milking-money (desperately so!) by all and ANY means, with zero regard for its customers and utterly imposing ways nobody likes. I understand things need to evolve and the need of change is there in a while, but what imvu has done over the past recent years looks more like involution, and while it appeals less and less its last drop of fun is being killed too. I would consider paying for your product the monthly fee if anything you provide would appeal to me - as I have payed in the past for vip - it was an imvu appealing to me with growing services and interesting options to try out. This circus full of shady transactions, products as ordinary as they come ( yes rl fasion online looks obsolete to me, I mean I can just get out for a walk and see it live yes?) - and actual service ( the new beta) not only working poorly but not providing half the things the classic ( ORIGINAL) imvu does and sttubornly NOT changing in its offer - is not what I signed up for. So why would I waste my money on you again? And no, your vip perks ( of ANY level) are not appealing to me either.

Arent you supose to honour Vet's ? and say something along with it like " Thank you for your service !" Instead of forcing them to pay to get payed what they deserve ? and kick them in the nuts ?

Since imvu is far from honouring and saying it. i will .

They dont understand cuz the whole staff is now from lets say 2017 and up... all other staff eiter fired or left themselves ( Like Varsha). Brett sold it i think end of 2016 and stayed as payed ceo for the transition till i think September 2017 something.. I kept looking and saw all the old staff members poof of the board one by one. Either left or replaced/ fired. Do you remember the old staff members actually come in chat rooms with their avi's ? to hang out with us ? Chat with the people / user base. or just like us listen to the tunes we play and dance in dance spots? Or when you had a problem with something in a chat room, and you posted it on the forum... a staff member actually came into your chatroom next day to check your problem and then solve it ? i do remember. Varsha was in one of my rooms a couple of times way in the past. as i take it in here free time..JUST TO HANG OUT. and chat and dance. She complimented me on my room decorating. and the vibe i created with it and for other users to hang in there. Ive seen BRETT even in a friends room. he was just chillin for 2 hours in there. Just to name a few. Dont you want to see and enjoy your passion ? the company you made or work for> and see others enjoy it too ? one must feel so proud that you made this possible., a whole world.... Then... Have you EVER seen a new staffmember, from 2016 an up EVER seen in a chatroom ? Just to hang out with "the people" and see their rooms and what they made of it and their avis? Or to fix a problem you have in your chatroom ? I HAVENT ! NOT ONES ! I think that clears the question on how they care and feel about the users base / devs/ creators.... WE the people. or should i say peasants.

I remember that post, comment, and yes Shanon said he would contact her and look into it and he would fix it for her, and make her grandfathered . A shame to see he/ imvu didnt and left her hanging.

It's not the answer we wanted, but it's certainly better than nothing.

I'm just curious how it's going to work linking, does linking mean that MASA will now be increased?

Also how do we verify the accounts that we are linking? Surely there needs to be some confirmation otherwise people will just steal other peoples account.

I was going to retire two accounts that were not near enough me buying vip for, so now I can just link them instead, this is better than just giving up on them.

It's frustrating to see companies prioritize profits over their customers' satisfaction. It seems like IMVU is no exception, as they are trying to squeeze every last penny out of their users. It's disappointing that they aren't here to help us but rather to take advantage of our loyalty.

This sudden change in policy feels like a betrayal, especially for those who have been with the platform for a long time. It's clear that IMVU is more concerned with their bottom line than with providing a quality service to their users.

Hopefully, they will realize the error of their ways and start prioritizing customer satisfaction over profits. Until then, it's up to us as consumers to decide whether or not we want to continue supporting a company that doesn't have our best interests at heart.
