This is an important update for Grandfathered Creators.
In the announcement below we stated that starting July 1, 2023, all Earn Money Creators, including Grandfathered Creators, will be required to have either Platinum or Diamond VIP in order to be in the Earn Money Program and receive cash payouts.
(This requirement does not affect Grandfathered Creators who are subscribed to legacy VIP (from before Tiered VIP launched).
We realize this is a huge change for many Grandfathered Creators and have been closely following feedback regarding this new policy.
Based on your valuable input, we have come up with a solution that should make it easier for affected Creators to transition.
Details are as follows:
LINKED ACCOUNTS FOR GRANDFATHERED CREATORS
Starting July 1, 2023, Creators will be able to link three Grandfathered Creator accounts together, with only one VIP subscription.
Creators will choose one Grandfathered account for their VIP subscription, and two additional Grandfathered accounts that will not need VIP.
If a Creator already pays for Platinum or Diamond VIP on a non-Grandfathered account, they can apply it to two of their Grandfathered accounts.
All three linked accounts will be eligible for the Earn Money Program and payouts.
Once the accounts are linked, new earnings from these accounts will be combined into one MASA balance. Earnings from before the accounts are linked will not be combined.
Grandfathered accounts that are grouped with a VIP account will not need to apply for the Earn Money Program as long as they have already been approved to participate in the Earn Money Program prior.
Starting August 2023, earnings from the linked accounts can be set up to funnel into the VIP account.
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO LINK GRANDFATHERED ACCOUNTS
Here’s how to link a Platinum or Diamond VIP Grandfathered account with two additional accounts.
Make sure one of your Creator accounts has Platinum or Diamond VIP
Submit a help ticket to the Earn Money Program, requesting linked accounts. List an account that has VIP, and two Grandfathered accounts that do not have VIP.
If any of the linked accounts is not in the Earn Money Program, those account(s) will need to join to earn money and request a payout. All accounts will be able to apply to the Earn Money Program without a VIP subscription. However, you will not be able to earn money or request a payout until the account has a qualified VIP subscription or is linked to a Grandfathered account with a qualified VIP subscription.
Once the team receives your ticket (and your Earn Money application(s) if applicable), they will:
Check to make sure the accounts are owned by you
Confirm your Earn Money Program application has been accepted.
As soon as your accounts are approved, the team will link them together, so all three can be in the Earn Money Program with only one VIP subscription
ADDITIONAL BENEFIT - JULY ONLY
Between July 1 and July 30, Earn Money accounts with less than $50 can convert their balances into Credits. To receive Credits, send a help ticket to the Earn Money team.
Attention Creators - Starting July 1 Earn Money Payouts will require VIP
This is an important notice for Creators who are not signed up for VIP but still receive cash payouts in the Earn Money Program.
Starting July 1, 2023, all Earn Money Creators will be required to have either Platinum or Diamond VIP in order to receive cash payouts.
This does not include legacy Creators who signed up for VIP before the Tiered VIP system launched. They already have the equivalent of Platinum VIP and do not need to take any action.
CLARIFICATION:
Added 5/18/23: By "legacy Creators" we mean Grandfathered Creators. Grandfathered Creators without VIP will still be able to create, submit to their shop and earn Credits.
When this new requirement is introduced, Grandfathered Creators without VIP will still be able to create, submit to their shop and earn Credits.
Added 5/23/23 - You will not be able to earn cash or receive payouts unless you purchase Platinum or Diamond VIP. Once you join VIP you can earn cash and receive payouts. You will not lose existing cash balances. They will simply not be available without VIP.

I can tell you what will happen if we continue moving this path. Which I hillarically tried to sketch in a humorous way. Right now, finding it all wiped from a forum. Hereby the direct version. We now invested into VIP memberships make something more worthwhile.
Our successor app, which is awesome and looks really great being Studio, has a problem, namely a technical ocean to cross for many creators unable to load the new features because of simply having issues investing in new computers to be even able to load it all in a normal way. I for instance will invest soon, but I can imagine, not all of us can.
Now we are all set with memberships allowing us freedoms in an AP, we can't use. Desktop is not loadable for many of our members, still using classic. The way to sit close to each functionalities is our phone app, being a completely dressed out version of it all.
To carry this expansion and reach towards new groups we would have loved to add to IMVU, seems to me, unable to carry itself financially. IN other words, to make new target groups spend more, a very legitimate question I ask. So how will you make new target groups, spend more on IMVU, so the bridges we invest in, are worth their return on investments?
If yes than what is it, that we now add in funds for? Why was change this needed?

Why dig tunnels to target groups by creating a phone app, than change everything it connects to to align with it's propositions and functions, making out network look like some dressing up game for teen girls. Investing into most of it's functions to please a target group, that barely hands in enough to keep it's whole structure upright? I am totally fine with supporting my network, but I do like the answers to my questions. Why is it we are still constructing towards a market that will not keep us rocking? And with this questioned and said, what is it, we are keeping upright, by taking a VIP membership now? Since this is a move to pay for something, that seems was not worthwhile to keep going without this changes done. I the classic feature not worthwhile anymore? what is it, that made you need our sacrifice for? And feel free to keep me and us in the blind,...but we move a whole lot better towards targets, with knowing the why and the odds. So please...elaborate, thank you!

Next time, do not wipe my messages just like that. I do no scold, I do not curse I do not make anyone feel bad nor awkward, and it was all on subject, Nevertheless. I asked a very important question.
How will you now, make new target groups spend more money on IMVU?
Because your recent resources, are now being depleted by this change. So once more hereby my legitimate and important question. I would like it answered please. Since it stings us, where we don't want any pains.

QUITE OBVIOUS. that they do not care about creators who are the ones who have made them rich. Without the creators there would be no IMVU. They only care about money. Not the human being creators creating for them. It is not the same place it used to be. I have been on here creating practically since IMVU started about 2006-2007 with several grandfathered in accounts. This is "Very Wrong" and sad. Reconsider , Hah!. The Creators should be paid for keeping IMVU going , they should not be charged for the work they do , they should be rewarded if anything.

Not good , we need grandfathered dev's to remain as is we do not wish to buy in so we can get paid and will ask you to advance this issue, is this 100% lawful I don't see this as an ethical or legal practice and will be very unhappy if this isn't reversed, this idea is not good, and will be a catastrophic mistake for IMVU INC.

With all these different tiers they decided to make up I do not understand, if I need to pay "out to of pocket to collect my earnings now this site will surely fail 100 % not only do we get only a portion of our earnings but now the site wants to remove us with unfair stipulation is there not laws against this if this happens this site will flop
