Oh one more thing. One of my catalogs already pays VIP as it was created after VIP was required. However, it pays 75 per year not the 120 that is required. Are you saying I have to pay 120 now?

Why does IMVU keep insisting that "you can still create without any impact except for cashing out"? This is all great (sarcasm) except with one catalog being over 11k items and another with over 5k items, it means that as soon as you don't pay for VIP, any profits from the years of work can no longer be cashed out. I am not sure this is legal at all as those items were made under a different contract that did not require VIP to cash out. Actually for me, some those items were made when you had to sell credits to credit resellers just to earn profit. It seems the new IMVU policy wants to keep your catalog hostage and force you to purchase the VIP is you want to get paid. IMVU must understand as stated in many previous posts, we do not want the credits for our work! While deving was and always will be a hobby for me, I am not going to spend hours to make items for credits I already have and use them to pay deving costs, gift customers and buy stuff from catalog. Is that not enough already? Also, not getting paid for items that are already in the catalog and continue to earn credits may not be legal. Are profits for IMVU so low that they must find alternative ways to make money? I know my sales continue to decrease for years (due to larger catalog, more competition, less customers) and at the same time I am expected to pay more to get paid. This is really nonsense.

If wishes were fishes, @gaf210​ we'd walk on the sea. It would be nice if we got a raise, but I seriously doubt that will ever happen. :( My sales started reducing a few years before the pandemic. They stayed relatively stable but still low during the pandemic, but have continued their spiral post-pandemic. My shop sales are maybe 10-20% of what they were five or six years ago. It's sad and frustrating. I don't see myself staying here as a creator past the end of the year. I'll still be on FB to stay in contact with you and friends here, but I can't keep putting 8 hour days into something that's only returning maybe $2 a day if I'm lucky. I'm so thankful that I've met amazing people like you and so many others. That's been the best part of it all.

We don’t need to make credits though. Clearly we have enough to cover our costs of delivering new products why would be need a stock pile of useless online currency we can’t even send to friends in a decent amount.

I’ll reiterate my point. I’m not going to make sales for you anymore come July. I will not being paying for a service I have no want or need for to get my earnings. Vip is just not something I’ll use, I don’t really chat outside my small circle and I just create.

Think about it logically, who in the heck would have made all the Derivable Products? IMVU?

No, they were too busy marketing and getting the original feedback from the Grandfathered Creators. No one at IMVU knew how to make a site like this. It was our input and GUIDANCE

that lead IMVU to what it is today.

I am now in my alter account setting my items to display only but can be viewed, window shopping can be very frustrating to customers when they see sometime they like but cant buy, Looks pretty but is worthless.

The number of sales that use to be required for page one are now HALF that. That should show exactly how bad sales are down across the board. Its really sad!

I also asked for a raise in my last post. When Matt told me of this change many MANY years ago he told me "Hunny, this is just a starting point - that number will increase in time" well here we sit....still making the same rate - so sad :(

I'm still wondering why this measure have been put in place, since it only affects such an specific sub-group of creators (grandfathered AND not vip AND set to earn cash), its more of abacklash of implementing such an unpopular measure than the possible benefits of this. It would be good if along with such negative news, they could be paired up as well with beneficial measures for creators, for example, many of them here have made a fair point about rates for credits being the same since the Earn Money program started. Even a raise of cents to the rate per thousand credits will be very well received by creators, this would actually be historic as well, as we never seen any raises in the past as mentioned above. If we want better quality products for imvu, this goes hand by hand with the earnings creators get, so this would be beneficial for everyone in the end.

Aside from this particular measure, I see theres an underlying much bigger problem given all the feedback posted in this thread, and that is that many creators are seeing their sales reduced drastically and not only now, but seems to be a tendency in the last years post lockdown times. Im impressed to hear this even from very productive creators that have products usually on page 1 on many categories.

I think this should be urgently revised, as even if announced measure gets reverted, rates increased, fees, etc, if there are no sales, there will be no earnings, without them there would be no creators, and without creators there would be no imvu

Then thats it it doesnt matter if it lessens the transition , we will close our shops, and god help imvu and staff, this is the final nail in the coffin ..

Thank you for asking. Starting July 1, Grandfathered Creators without VIP will not be able to cash out. But we are exploring a few options that will lessen the impact of this new policy, and help affected Creators transition more easily. More details are coming soon.

This does not include legacy Creators who signed up for VIP before the Tiered VIP system launched. They already have the equivalent of Platinum VIP and do not need to take any action. Looks like we can still dev earn money and cash out without vip folks .........
