If you...
are 18 years old or older.
- have used IMVU for at least 3 months.
- are able to use IMVU Classic (IMVU Client) or IMVU Website.
Then, would you like to help select the best IMVU Products and get credits along the way? Be a Peer Reviewer!
IMVU has the biggest Catalog of virtual products on the Internet, thanks to our community of Peer Reviewers. Peer Review is the process by which the community checks newly-created products, ensuring they are of good quality, and that they pass our Virtual Goods Policy.
As a Peer Reviewer, you will be entitled to 5 Predits per item reviewed. Currently, there is a maximum payout limit of 500 Predits per day, but this may change in the future. However, you may continue to do an unlimited number of Peer Reviews per day.
As a plus we have started rewarding reviewers with 45 extra promotional credits when they find a broken or incorrectly rated product and end up being right!
Before starting Peer Review, we suggest reviewing the Virtual Goods Policy (VGP) guidelines.
How does the Peer Review process go?
STEP 1. Click here to go to the Peer Review page (bookmark or save it for easy access in the future!).
STEP 2. You will be given a random product and information about it. Click the "Or open in classic" button to view the product in IMVU Classic (IMVU Client).
Note: To view products via IMVU Website, click “View in 3D''.
STEP 3. Check the product's triggers (found in the Peer Review page) and its compliance with the Virtual Goods Policy.
STEP 4. If the product being reviewed violates the VGP, tick the checkbox next to the violation/s. You can click on the question marks beside the violation/s to know the specifics of each.
STEP 5. Click on Submit Vote in the lower-right corner. You're done!
If you don't feel confident reviewing the current product, you may skip it by refreshing the Peer Review page.
It's that easy! Get started now, and hand-pick the best products for the IMVU Catalog!
Why should I do Peer Review when people are getting kicked out anyway?
We remove Peer Review privileges for one of two reasons: voting Pass on a very obvious UFI product or not consistently voting with the majority outcome of the product. There’s a misconception that if you correctly fail a product and it ultimately passes that you are at risk of losing your voting privileges. This is not true. We actually expect that most active Peer Reviewers should NOT be at 100% accuracy, and the rule that removes people from Peer Review takes that into account.
