How to Add Video to Your Homepage

Adding video to your homepage is extremely simple! This article will show you how to do it in a jiffy. Note that homepages are only available in the IMVU Classic Website.

Adding A Video from A Video Hosting Site

STEP 1: Find the video that you want to put on your homepage, and get its embed code. Almost all video hosting sites (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) show the Embed code of the video under the Share menu. Below are a couple of screenshots to show this.

STEP 2: On your homepage, scroll down to the My Videos panel and click the Edit button on the upper-right corner. On the dropdown menu, click on Edit Custom HTML/CSS.

STEP 3: Copy the Embed code from the video hosting site and into the box that appears on your homepage. Click Save, and you're good to go!

Tips: 

• Want to put a video straight from your computer? Upload it to any video hosting service first then follow the steps above.

• If you are showing multiple videos, some of the Embed codes may get tangled up in copying. We recommend doing the changes under Safe Mode (by clicking it on the upper-right corner of the homepage) to make debugging easier.

• If you are having difficulties making any of these changes, you may also try switching to a different browser.
