How to Create an IMVU Group

IMVU Groups are a way to find your kindred spirits in our vast community. But joining them isn't the only option you have -- you can create your own groups, too!

Here are the easy steps you need to follow to create your own awesome IMVU Group.

STEP 1. Go to the IMVU homepage, and hover your mouse on the Community tab. Click on Groups.

STEP 2. On the next page, click on Create Group.

STEP 3. Fill out all the fields.

Group Name. This will be the name displayed for the group.

Description. This is where others would see what your group is all about.

Category. This sorts your group so others can find it easily.

Tagline. This is a caption for your group.

Group Image. This should contain a link for your group's picture. Make sure that the URL ends in an image extension (.jpg, .png, etc.) You can upload any image you have to an image host, then copy-paste the direct link to the image.

Membership. This determines how people can join your group. VIP customers can have more membership options for their groups!

Enable Holla Board. The Holla Board is like a bulletin board that lets members post announcements. This option allows you to enable/disable it (you can edit your selection later). You can also name your Holla Board anything you wish.

STEP 4. Click Submit. You're done! It's time for you to invite some friends and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals.
