Making a room public allows you to share it with your friends! Whether you want to host parties or just chill out, a public room is your go-to place.

Creating a Public Room
Making a public room is easy. Just follow these steps:
STEP 1. Log in to IMVU Classic (IMVU Client). If you are having issues, click here.
STEP 2. Click on Chat Rooms.
STEP 3. Click on Manage. The gray boxes will tell you how many Chat Room Slots you have left. An empty Chat Room Slot allows you to publish more public rooms. To know how to get more Chat Room Slots, check out this article. VIP Diamond and VIP Emerald users get an additional 15 Chat Room Slots.
STEP 4. Click on Create a Room.
STEP 5. Fill out the details of your new Chat Room. Fields with the red asterisks are required. Note that under Select a Room, you may also choose to make your Our Room or Shared Room public. For more information on this, check out this article.
STEP 6. At the bottom of the form, Creators may choose to publish their room in the Catalog as a Decorated Room. Check out this article to learn more.
STEP 7. Click on Create Room once you're done.
STEP 8. Congratulations! Your room has now been published. It will now show up under your Chat Rooms. You may now Edit or Delete it as you please.
How to Make an Existing Room Public
Sometimes you want to make an existing room public, or you may wish to reopen a public room that was closed. The steps are simple!
STEP 1. Go to the Room you wish to make public, then click Edit.
STEP 2. Select Public under Room Availability.
