How to Share a Room

STEP 1: After purchasing the Shared Room package, log in to your account via the IMVU website. If you are on IMVU Mobile, you will also be directed to the website through your mobile browser.

STEP 2: Under the Shared section, click Manage.

STEP 3: Another prompt will appear. It shows the current shared room you have with another user (if you have any), and your unused shared room. Select Invite.

Note: If you received a shared room request from another user, it will show under Incoming.

STEP 4: Enter the avatar name of the friend you want to share rooms with. You may also add a personalized message.

STEP 5: Click Send, and wait for your friend to accept your invitation!

How to Manage a Shared Room

To manage your shared rooms, simply go back to the Manage section.

To enter a specific shared room, click Join.

To stop sharing the room, select Unshare. Take note that this will revoke the entire Shared Room specified. This means that the Shared Room package will have to be purchased again. If the room was set as public, the room will be removed from the listings as well.

Reminder: If the shared room has been revoked or terminated, the room will close, and the decoration will change back to default.

How to access your Shared Room

On IMVU Classic (IMVU Client)

Make sure that you are updated to the latest version (495.4 or above). Go to www.imvu.com/download.php to download the most recent release. Launch IMVU Classic, then click Shared Room.

In case you have more than one shared ownership of a room, you will be asked which room you would like to join.

On the IMVU Website and IMVU Desktop

STEP 1. Login to IMVU Desktop or here: https://www.imvu.com/next/home/. On the Home page, click on My Rooms.
