Avatar Card Enhancements are ways for our engaged and active community members to show off their status in the IMVU Community with colorful backgrounds for their profile cards on the IMVU Classic Website as well as in IMVU Classic (IMVU Client). Plus, it's a way for them to show how long they have been enjoying IMVU!

You need to have been with us for at least one year and have been active (logged in within the last 30 days) to have this feature available to you.

IMVU Classic (IMVU Client) version requirements:

You can view the web avatar cards for everyone right now. In order to view the enhanced avatar cards in IMVU Classic (IMVU Client), you must be on version 503.18 or above. Check out this article to know how to update your IMVU Classic!

Is there an opt-out option?

Of course, all this is your choice. Simply go to your Account Settings page and look for the Avatar Card section to choose to display your tenure year (years at IMVU) and/or the colored wallpaper.

You can choose to display your tenure year (years completed on IMVU) and the colored background.

Note: The colored background choices that will appear depends on your tenure years on IMVU.

Wallpaper Choices

You collect them as you stay with us longer.

If you have been with us for 4 years, you will have the default colored wallpaper for Year 4 but can choose to display year 1, year 2, year 3 color as well.

The backgrounds get cooler the longer you have been at IMVU - there are shaded ones for example.

What if someone has been on IMVU for 2 years but is no longer active?

You will not see the avatar card enhancements on their profile cards. If they log into IMVU at some point, then their avatar cards will show the appropriate number and wallpaper.

How are the years calculated?

Based on exact registration date. So if you joined in June 2015, you will have the 1 year mark on your card on March 2017. However, once your registration date on June 2017 passes, you will transition from 1 to 2 years.
