Updating IMVU Desktop 

If your IMVU Desktop is buggy or not working, it may need an update. Click here to see the latest version and download it! 

  • Click on the “Windows Installer” if you use a Windows Desktop. 
  • Click on the “Mac DMG” if you use a Mac Desktop.

Reinstalling IMVU Desktop 

You might also try uninstalling and reinstalling the software to see if it will fix the problem.

To uninstall the App: 

Windows: Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Select the app you want to remove, and then select Uninstall.

MAC: Select the app and choose File > Move to Trash from the menu bar or Select the app and press Command-Delete on your keyboard. To delete the app after moving it to the Trash, choose Finder > Empty Trash.

Note that if you happen to set Windows Security to quarantine the files, IMVU Desktop may fail to update in the future. You may also come across issues should you need to reinstall it.
