This is an informative threat about new policy for cashing out, not a social thread were expecting this reversed. This policy doesn't affect people leaving it affects the independent contractors bottom line, were not going to pay a subscription for our commissions due

I like us to stick together, friend or foe. Basta. That is why I react so much here. I hate to loose more creators, specially also derivers, which need to quit because of things changing. I am fine helping them, so why bug me for it. Suit this reactions your way, but I am not the topic here. So let us focus on the topic. Thank you. And I love all your works - even all reactions. Since this is not just a change.

I just offered one free VIP membership Platinum, for 1 Year for 1 creator, that must leave us, because of this change. So please. Understand me well. I mean no one harm. This is the only subject I reacted to in 6 years. Because it can include that people leave. Enemy or friend, however one likes to see me, one thing is true.

IMVU is currently my only income. To be extorted by IMVU, Saying we have to pay to receive our payment is simply not acceptable for me. How am i supposed to be able to afford credits, on TOP of VIP when 40% of my profits are being taken, when every single time i upload a product i'm charged almost 1,000 credits, when i DO get a sale, i only get pennies...

I seriously hope IMVU will reconsider their decision... I understand IMVU is a for profit business. That isn't the issue here...

I have been asking on multiple forums and, though it was a shot in the dark, I even asked customer service why this change was decided upon. No answers still. It’s increasingly frustrating.

I decided to help fund one creator that is absolutely not abled to pay for VIP in order to receive pay out. I will make a list of those I think nominate for such a list. And I will pick one of them, which I can fund a year long VIP membership Platinum for. This is a free offer only to those that will not misuse my good intend or do not need it. With this one VIP I offer, I mean to support only those that have one account and need it to survive the day. Feel free to mail me, when you feel nominated and need this offer. It's not about paying VIP WE CAN PAY VIP A MILLION TIMES, GET A CLUE, this is an unfair practice and we do not wish to pay it because we are not users and customers like you, we do not like this site period, go take your lists to a homeless shelter maybe ? this is about a company using unfair strongarm tactic huh

I would like to say that I'm shocked but I'm not. I saw the writing on the wall with so many changes going on and when long time users like myself were grandfathered into the system.

Do I like or support the decision: no

Do I have any choice or say: no

Could I afford the taxes I have to pay to file in two countries and now having to pay to create: no

I was trying to find classes for Blender and trying to learn more about how to make normal maps now that my hand is healed and had started to put together a new collection but now I'll just have to delete all of the links to meshes that I was going to work on because I won't be able to afford to create as I'm one of those not so good people you've been trying to get rid of who was learning and building on my skills as I had to learn on my own. I hate the cell version of the program and wish the company could have found a way to make the experience for users the same across all of the platforms but it has never seemed to be the case.

I feel badly for all those who depended on this to supplement their income and I'll have to work harder at finding a job where the contract between the employer and employee is more stable, trustworthy and dependable. This turned a hobby that I use to love into something I hate and no matter how much I wish we could go back to the days of active groups like Dawning Developers (which disbanded) and places for people who were learning but could also get that little extra thumbs up monetarily for their work because someone liked it that it will never be that way again. I had VIP in the past and never found it to be worth the money and with the experiences I had with filing multiple DCMA where staff were of no help and having to turn to fellow users/creators for help it had already soured my experience using the program.

Will I stick around: undecided

What I worry about is pricing going up. We already deal with new groups of customers, which need to invest here more. Making prices go up, does not attract doing so. Let stand making creators pay more for adding to our catalog and keeping the merchandises flowing. I so hope we can all find a way...that solves this, positively and with better expectancy on future outcomes.

Yupp I suggested that as well, great idea! Pay out pass/membership create membership such...would be way easier. But I think They came up with this solution, which actually says something about their efficiency. Why create something that can be solved by what we already have. Just...well...I think your idea would have caused us all less friction and worries, anger etc.

And yes...totally right. Free riders,...must go. After testing IMVU for a fixed period, they should be prevented from constantly making new accounts to free ride. Yes. But whatever you are claiming about inflation or whatever. I nor anyone else here but maybe some staff members hold facts. I suggest concentrate on facts. I heard non of the staff say nor state, we deal with inflation cause by the causes you mention. Sorry.

P.s. I also see no reasons given yet for this change. On which I and a lot with me are waiting. Since it would focus us on facts. Not fiction. So we can look ahead and think along. Like a team.

First of all, No. One of my Great-Aunts did not die on the Trail of Tears for me to ever be called a servant. That term is highly offensive. I am fully incapable of acting like a sycophant waiting for the crumbs of a clearly unethical company to be dropped for appeasement. Sorry. Not gonna happen. Ever.

This entire situation is comparable to a relationship with a narcissist. They've shown us who they are bit by bit over the years, and we've refused to fully believe it until it's gotten so intolerable that we have no choice but to face it. No one should be forced to pay to access their earned income. This includes non-grandfathered accounts.

The inflation caused by the overabundance of promo credits in the system is not our fault. We've been saying for years that it needs to slow down.

The culture of begging that has been allowed is another issue. These people do not want to buy vip or credits. They only want you to gift them when they run out of promo credits. They usually try to scam with messages like these:

1. "I have a lot of active followers, and I would like to know if you would like to make a deal, I am the model of your store and you send me credits, the amount you want above 500 credits"
2. "can you send me gift or cr for Shoutout ?

Using this change while claiming IMVU to be greedy though, is something I do not appreciate. I have my freedom of opinion. Which I stated. And I think it be very sad to see people just leave...in such a hurry just because of this change. Specially when they look at it in a business manner. For every personal reasons...whether it is affordable or not...is not my choice to make. It is theirs. We do have a price mechanism though. They can choose to include the costs in calculating prices on their items. So before any one thinks they are out of options...there is options to deal with this. And it also includes effects when altering a pricing. Sure...I might have a different foot print. And yes we all have our own.
