Hello, Creators!

We know that as of late, there has been questions and confusion regarding MCG manipulation. What is acceptable? What crosses the line...etc.?

To help address this, we've created an initial Guidelines document that we hope will help.

Please give it a read and then provide us with any feedback/questions you have below - so that we may address them and continue to add to and update information that will guide your fabulous creations down the right path!

Thank you!

I think the whole point of this topic is that the size of the MCG area should correspond with the size of the breast/buttock. I don't think IMVU is body shaming. You can't use the same size band-aid on an F size as you can on an A size. I was well aware of this problem in early July; when I saw IMVU re-rating to AP, all products created on a certain mesh. (Except from famous creators of course). A Customer Service Agent confirmed my suspicions about a week later when he used the words "Manipulated Mesh" to tell me why my product wouldn't pass as GA.

Going forward IMVU should implement a rule for Mesh Creators who make products with 'Manipulated Meshes". The Mesh Creator MUST supply an IMVU-approved MCG map on the derive page for that specific mesh AND apply that MCG map to the default MCG material slot. When IMVU finds "Manipulated Meshes" posted without the aforementioned required MCG map provided and/or not applied to the MCG material slot, the Mesh is taken down until the Mesh Creator complies with the rule.

Not to mention the ok with swear words on tops, cannabis leaves being ok, alchole in glass and bottles and they are raising eyebrows on color cartoon flesh that is the same color as any other part of the body. I have seen more real erect penis that are real on peoples avatar pictures, I was reporting to Rigsk the more she was trying to take them down they was back up again in a hour. Then you have the public rooms with some very indecent ap ufi pics that are on display, bm product people still own that has been in rooms but are unsearchable. Imvu worrying about a bit to much cleavage is the least of your problems, but then if you invite 13 year olds on a adult themed site and encouraging more through mobile.

Hi hun! Fair point @jazzKat! But IMVU can become 17+ or 18+ ESRB rated instead of 13+. Anyways even with a turtleneck "cleavage" I don't think kids should join and spend their time on the platform. Everyone is talking about sexy mesh bodies and sexy creations - but outfits are not a real or true problem when it comes to kids and their protection (if MCG is still covering what should be covered)... How many adults are hiding on the teen side pretending they are 13, making kids fall in love (I don't even want to write the rest of it)? What about all public rooms that have sex poses and teens are using them? What about BM products? What about the NO MCG map AT ALL and the product is GA rated on page 1 in the GA catalog for days, weeks, or even months without being removed? What about se*ual role-plays in public rooms? What about presenting furries as a lifestyle to 13yo kids? What about IMVU Instagram profiles where adults show all sides (including AP) to teens? And many more... These are things that should be changed and talked about, not cleavage where you still have MCG that is still covering ava's parts. Maybe smaller but it is covered. One way or another if the reason is ESRB, then where was that same reason years ago? This what they did now is not helping anyone, flagging system will be used for fake reports, and no one will check if it was a true or false report, products will just be re-rated.

@jazzKat The only problem with this is, certain staff will go along with items till that staff leaves and new ones take their place. Then the whole new ruling changes again. This is why we need imvu to step in and provide the body coverage for certain sizes, this will then be a guide not only for devs but also new staff.

@jazzKat @EMpulse Well, the ESRB comes as a good explanation, but where was it till now? Cause they weren't "born" yesterday. And still, after days from that guide, no example of safe bodies to use are given.

Somehow, the company, instead of taking actions, started a war between creators, if someone hates someone, flag, flag, flag, and poof, creator gets banned. Seems fair? Think not, from a hard manipulating bodies that were indeed agaisn't ESRB, this turned entire shop into a graveyard and a battlefield.

The ratings system is a corollary to the ESRB's ratings so a dropped neckline is *still* considered AP. You'd have to lobby congress change the regulations, which then allows the ESRB to change theirs, which then allows IMVU to change theirs!

IOW, IMVU isn't going to change anything that makes the liable from a policy point of view (whether people stick to those guidelines is another matter entirely!)

If you're unsure about something like that it's best to use the contact information provided in the article, don't second guess.

Also would like to add being big boobed and requiring more coverage is like body shaming, the whole rule of coverage is laughable when i repeat items that have red showing get flagged in shops and are just left because not enough people flag them.

This makes a whole mockery of the rules. Some have had red showing and have passed peer and have stayed in the shop being sold for years.

Who is actually going to care enough in the community now. The very people who did care imvu you have screwed them over.

Customer service even when you took pics and spelled it out to them they still didn't have a clue on coverage. I had to get Rigks involved when a whole shop had ga items that should have been ap, she then passed it on to creator help team. Maybe devs should go back to creating the basic items from imvu, because this will just get messier. Maybe a message to the ceo and higher up, you want members with years of knowledge to help give support, then don't c### in your own backyard.

@lllAdrianalll  agree !!

you know where is the biggest problem they leave the control to flag products for normal users its piece of cake 3 easy steps ,no matter this user understand the rules right or even care about them there are thousands of haters who use this things to just harm other users, just because of the feeling of envy and jealous ,, I really hope you @EMpulse  find anther way to protect us as you said and solve this problem.

I understand for certain extreme cases, but I think we need to have a different vision in 2023, review the rules a little, in 2023 deep necklines are no longer shocking for people, even for 17 year olds, Grandma's panties for a bikini are outdated!... if you pass all products AP it's really the end... it's already almost the end.

@EMpulse  hello hun , i have read the article and understand what you mean but its really tricky and hard to find the right mcg when its just some pixels the different between the right mcg and the manipulating one . i don't talk about those meshes which is so clear its not GA mesh I'm talking about the meshes which have a little pixels different , because me and most of creators be so carful when derive from any mesh to be sure its not against tos or any rules we care because we worked hard on our shops for years .we will not risk our accounts to make a products seam AP in GA ,

please put in your mind that the most of creators don't want to manipulate mcg or shop most of us follow the rules and care about their accounts so much .

i wish to find a safe way to solve this situation without harm any creator work hard for years to improve imvu shop and Community . thanks advanced ♥️
