Hello, Creators!

We know that as of late, there has been questions and confusion regarding MCG manipulation. What is acceptable? What crosses the line...etc.?

To help address this, we've created an initial Guidelines document that we hope will help.

Please give it a read and then provide us with any feedback/questions you have below - so that we may address them and continue to add to and update information that will guide your fabulous creations down the right path!

Thank you!

@QBL & @StarShineDesigns I would also check to make sure that the hair you derived from is not rated AP. Sometimes that happens and the circus clowns in imvu won't ever change it unless it is brought to their attention sadly.

@StarShineDesigns  SMH.............. HAIR was turned into AP by IMVU? Ok now this is getting Stupid.... Check the product name> I guess to make sure there are not any violating words. Check the Product page make sure you are not wearing anything that remotely looks like AP in the product picture.. Just to cover your basis..... Then send the help ticket in for a rerate and tell those clowns of epic proportions that HAIR does NOT violate MCG.

@StarShineDesigns We've been trying to tell IMFU this for years. They don't listen. I've lost track of how many whining, begging kids message me for a gift for a shout out 'that will bring many more shout outs..." I always reply with how I don't waste my time with shout outs, because it only brings more beggars and whiners like them to message me and gets zero ppl into my shop to actually purchase anything. I then block their sorry behinds. I don't have time for ppl like that.

@StarShineDesigns  This is what I do when that happens.. It does not happen every often to me but on occasion welp.. This sis the action I take. Make sure that there is no red showing in the MCG if you have another layer that has been manipulated by the mesher Change it. After these things are changed and everything looks up to par. File a help ticket asking for a rerate and provide them with the Product ID numbers of the products in question. They will then review them and put them back in your catalog as GA or tell you they still violate. unfortunately you will not get the credits back that imvu took from you for any non ap user sales if you had any. But you will hopefully get get a rerate. I hope this helped a little.

They should not be alloud to take our credits. Thats just BS. Of course my shop being small i dont make much but this whole thing is Ridiculous Why don't they just make Imvu for adult only no kids are even on here they think the game is lame the avatars are too cartoony and to many problems kids want games that are Realistic with life like Characters. If kids are on Vu they're only here to make trouble Talk smack and beg for credits and gifts. Imvu is outdated low graphics and full of issues so fix the issue and just let the adults who havent gone to SL or the better RPG games have imvu for themselves . We have age Verification so why not at joining have to show some ID to prove you're 18 years old. it's not these kids that buy credits anyway it's the adults who work hard to make money in real life to get credits to play and create on Imvu.

As a new creator this has me not wanting to continue. I dont change meshes or body type just textures of fabric. BUT still ive had things that passed peer review just recently as Ga removed from my shop completly and when i try to re submite them as AP they dont go through. And no one notifies u from imvu. Its my small fallowing of customers who let me know ive had 6 items from my shop just vanish so far. Perfectly good GA outfits just poof and need to be marked as AP this is so wrong. The ppl running this Circus need to teach their monkeys what they're doing

@Candried if you'll notice I said "some." And I can promise you, not all of them are jealousy driven. Doesn't matter if you know who it is or not, the slim chance the person(s) who are jealous of you, may be able to flag yr work in your catalog, but when items go through peer review, the 1 in MANY chances that that person(s) who is jealous of you will get to review your work is slim to none. We're not just talking about getting flagged, it's also about peer review.

@Candried  I wish everyone; creators, dev's and customers etc would stop saying everything is jealousy driven. Yes, there are some cases, however, some ppl doing peer review (I just do the bare min each month for IMVU's now worthless 'pro status') truly go off of whether it meets the mcg guidelines. I don't give a flying flick who the creator is, nor how popular they are, nor how long they've been here. I do my best to make sure it's within mcg guidelines. But if you're out of the guidelines, I'm going to flag you, period. End of story. That's how it goes with me. It has ZERO to do with jealousy. Please get off that high horse.

Yes, the studio had and has bugs. But at least they are trying to fix and it wasn't being left for years.

I derived one similar to yours 2 years ago. It sold thousands. This is happening to me too. AP. It's very sad it was left for so long. And the tank tops i derived from Obje. They again sold thousands and flagged to AP. I didn't have a chance to hide them. I was away for 2 weeks at our cottage enjoying life to come back to this. And of course, jealous people flagged.

Not only are shops being reported, credits taken back, creators being banned. But now must check your feeds / albums / profile pic images too if you happend to post pictures with MCG manipulated products in them. Since they are changed to AP products they are now a violation against TOS. I also seen my product that was changed to AP in another creators GA products image, again violation of TOS. IMVU should hit the TIMEOUT button, NOT take the credits back and certainly NOT ban people. But my question is, are the pics gonna be reported next and people banned ?? Are players responsible for taking pics for years with such products that are now a violation ? Our fault again right ?

Thank you IMVU for taking away more than 200 dollars from my pay (and I think this is only the beginning..) they leave no chance for the creators to modify the product.. we have to suffer this injustice while we are simple texturers and not the creator of the mesh.text
