Hello, Creators!

We know that as of late, there has been questions and confusion regarding MCG manipulation. What is acceptable? What crosses the line...etc.?

To help address this, we've created an initial Guidelines document that we hope will help.

Please give it a read and then provide us with any feedback/questions you have below - so that we may address them and continue to add to and update information that will guide your fabulous creations down the right path!

Thank you!

Oh this is a rabbit hole I'd never personally touch if I were IMVU. I'm not sure why this is being brought up now. I literally do NOT believe IMVU has only just caught wind of this. No chance. So why now?..

Asking the community to sit there and flag creators is really something as well.

Here's the red area - it's being said it's MCG 'manipulation', however private areas (nipples/genitalia) are always covered.

How do IMVU differentiate between something being AP or simply curvy/plus size/large bust?

MCG was always large imo, it's not just private areas that are covered, it's large amounts of the body.

Outfits can be looked at and you can sit there and say, hey that's a really provocative outfit, that looks AP to me, but simply because there is more chest showing that makes something AP?

Rework the MCG system. Sexually implied outfits should be AP, not larger female body shapes.

You've left the creator community to their own devices when it comes to MCG because the rules were never clear. Just make them clear.

This has made things way more complicated than it needs to be.

That wont be any good, lots of cs don't even recognize when red is showing, most don't know how bump the clothing to see under it.

Why hit devs with this after the vip scam, why didn't they do this before so devs could decide if they wanted to carry on creating and purchase it.

@shopdaisylogo I mentioned nothing about voting, or getting married. (nor having a baby), but in the U.S. all states have a min age on getting married and many stipulations- aka written approval from a judge, premarital courses etc etc. As for the voting age in the U.S. you do have to be 18, however, you can PRE register starting at age 16, but u cannot vote at age 16.

As far as the 16 yr olds with clothing little left to imagination....I have a special name for them...but can't say it here. LOL!

@StarShineDesigns I'll correct that because yes I've seen that ONE of the bad meshes came from an older creator. I'll correct it to the some of the bad meshes come from some of the newer whiny creators that want instant success. (Glad yr not one of them).

perhaps imvu needs to add a "required to view" tutorial on how to properly determine how much boob and groin area needs to be covered... Disable creating access till the creator has watched it. But CS will have to loosen up cause there will be variations on application...

Thats kinda a messed up thing to state im a new creator and try to fallow all the rules im also not whinny or looking for instant Popularity. The BAD mesh from im reading came from an older more Famous creator . So lets Not blame it on new creators.

@Parcel U might want to state it is certain creators fault. NOT "all" creators fault. Most of us here have not, nor will we ever manipulate MCG. From what I've seen it's the NEWEST creators that just want the instant "success" of a "popular" catalog that is doing the MCG manipulation. Where as most of us here, have been here for a long time (some even from day one) that have built our catalogs as it should be, over time and following the rules from day one. We didn't acquire instant success like the whiny new creators/derivers are doing. We built our catalogs slowly but surely to where they are today, and we're all proud of that fact! NOTHING was handed to us, nor were we coddled like the whiny new creators/derivers and ZCD derivers are today. So be careful who yr blaming and don't ever put all of us into one category ever again.

No @AquarianPrincess yr saying everything correctly. It's @jazzKat that isn't getting the fact that they themselves stated clearly suggested for all of us to see that IMFU is "regulated by esrb" ergo this quote from JazzKat-- "You'd have to lobby congress change the regulations, which then allows the ESRB to change theirs, which then allows IMVU to change theirs!"

@lllAdrianalll It has zero to do with shock value. It has everything to do with age appropriate clothing. If yr not 18 years old, you should not be able to view or wear AP items period. In the real world, kids under 18 can't buy cigarettes, xrated magazines, alcohol etc etc. So why should it be acceptable in here? It shouldn't. Yes, this is 2023, however, protecting the kids from becoming everything they shouldn't be or shouldn't do, and allowing them to break rules on here, isn't right.

IMFU created this problem. They let it get wayyyyyyy out of hand just like they have always done, and then when they try to fix it, they ALWAYS end up screwing someone. Unfortunately as always it's the creators/meshers that will feel the brunt of their mess. They will take ZERO blame for this even though we can all find places where creators have been BEGGING IMFU for years for guidelines to the newer body types.

@AnnaLuilAnnwn  To make matters worse that (Era Of Guessing) is going to get good honest developers disabled... As for Peer review that's another huge problem because most of the (Grandfathered Creators) that know what they are doing have walked away from the site and doin peer all together since they are now making us pay for VIP just to cash out our earnings. This is a disaster waiting to happen.

It will take me months to go through and update my catalog. Everytime CS changes the standard I have to start over... Will i risk losing my account because I can't work fast enough to correct my catalog.. is it worth losing this account because I happened to use the wrong mesh???? I have already submitted 300+ changes to review. I dread CS coming down and saying my new MCG boob covers are not enough ...... We NEED answers!!!
