I'm grandfathered, am I going to have to pay for VIP to receive my own money?

I have never purchased VIP, and taking $20 (2 accounts) out my already extremely low payout since IMVU's financial collapse for our creators is the biggest kick in the teeth.

Eh, Its worth a shot. I feel like if they broke their word to us its the least they could do....even offer one merge per acct- that would bring me down to 5 accts which is much more attainable. Its been hard keeping up with 10 anyways.

This is a reasonable request. Many of us have multiple accounts that may be dormant but have products to sell. This company has been through several hands since some of us signed up and committments were made to us.

@RigsK On behalf of all us OCD ppl that HAD to have different accts for diff types of items - Can you please talk to whoever you need to about MERGING our accts to just one? I would like to keep my main acct (that is grandfathered but ive kept vip for 13 years anyways) with all my products merged over....... its ridiculous to ask us to pay after we were TOLD we would keep our grandfathered accts....I would have stopped creating on them LONG ago if had known id have to get VIP to get my money out.....seems shady that you change it on us now.

Never known a company that are ok with them making them money but you cant yourself from your own work....I think they shot themselves in the foot with the vip change and tiers, and kids overtaking imvu that don't pay for nothing. So instead of generating cash it has left a deep hole.

Thanks IMVU, it's been a great ride but recently I can no longer support any of these insane changes.

Other sites have SO much more to offer (I currently get between $4-$7 for ONE sale) and don't have to put a penny in.

Not once in my 16 years here have I seen IMVU pull back from a change and admit they made a mistake, just continue in the madness and hope things bet better (hey Siri - define insanity!)

Pre studio, big thumbs up from me. Anything after that has just been a meme.

Well this will now be the death of imvu, ... i can understand why a head member of staff now jumped ship. Grandfathered in are the backbone of imvu because we have been here years, to think we will create just to make credits, but have to pay to actually be able to draw out cash is nothing short of extortion.

At what point will IMVU stop r@pping creators for their earning from their own work. How is the upload charges of the product including the cuts imvu takes from each sale not enough money. That you would force creators to pay a vip status on top of all that cost just to get the pennies you leave us. Keep your VIP I don't know about anyone but I find me a really good lawyer. I have put up with enough with IMVU I am going fight this and when I find a good lawyer that says they can take on IMVU I will rally all the creators even the ones who have retire that where GRANDFATHER against IMVU. I am done complaining and just letting IMVU take from me its stops today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a load of BS- so what is the point in being grandfathered in and having a shop IF WE CANT GET PAID?? So, now 10 accts is going to cost me $100 a month just to get paid....I'm so sick of this place.

Hi Folks,

Here are some answers to your questions.

Do grandfathered Creators need VIP to create? No, Grandfathered Creators only need VIP if they would like to request a payout from the Earn Money Program
If my legacy VIP has lapsed and I don't have VIP anymore, can I still receive an Earn Money Payout? No you need active VIP.
If I am a Grandfathered Creator will my shop disappear if I don't purchase VIP or my VIP lapses? No your shop will not disappear. You will still be able to create, your shop will be visible, and you will be able to add new items to your shop. The only difference is that you will not be able to receive Earn Money payouts.
