As someone who’s been here and supported you for over half my life. This goes through and it’s the end for me. I’ll hide my entire catalog too so you’ll never benefit from my work again. If I can’t be paid without paying you, then I won’t make you money either through sales.

Most likely yes because Creators signed up to a royalty program. Might not be wrt current pending payments and doing a switcheroo, but then per any royalty program there is never a promise of payment. Obviously IANAL ;)

Out of interest, I found the original announcement regarding VIP and grandfathered creators - they always left themselves an out.

"If you are already registered as a Content Creator as of May 9th, you will experience no change. These Creators are “grandfathered” into the current program, though IMVU reserves the right to right to end the “grandfathering” benefit at any time (we do not anticipate doing so now)."

But of course, this was before the earn money program was implemented. There was never any indication that creators would need to pay in order to access our income.

I can't believe I am typing those words - "pay in order to access our income." In what world is that ok?

I agree thats why I went to secondlife. There is a large community of creators already on secondlife. none the creators here will be alone you be among people you have already work with on this site. you will see brands you reconized from the imvu shop. There is so many creators over on secondlife and they are doing fine they are making more then enough to get by.

the problem with hiding them is in the imvu tos it says they reserve ownership of anything uploaded on their site. I don't know if you where around when the imvu.com account was taking product out of creators shops and reselling like that account made it. they try to convivence us that this was them showing appreciation and giving the creator spotlight on they work but some how they had to put the product on another account and make all the sales. In the agreement for unity developers they will have full range to use products that are already been made on this site because tos say it the property of imvu once we upload. this is why I said take the textures down. swap a block for the meshes etc. I hear some say they dont want to do they customers like that but its only them kind of steps that will make them stop. but if we are scared as a collective to stand together then complaining about here not going do anything. because they not going stop this they not going change this they just going say they stay for this so they going stay for the next phase of d!ck sh!t.

most likely not because they sure didnt do that when they introduce this masa mess most of us is sitting on millions or hundred thousands of credits we can never cash out.

I use to think like that but Its not cheap to not get paid your money. Its not cheap to keep getting hit with more fees and ways to take every dime you make and leave you with nothing. You losing more if you stay.

I understand and that how I felt five years ago. But I was bless to have someone who wouldnt let up who pushed me to make that leap of faith. No its not easy but what i make now compare what i was making. for the same time and effort it was so worth the risk. I only wish I had did it sooner. But you sound like me five years ago. So just think about it because you actually loosing more staying. Your worth so much more for your time and work then what they doing. Its a mental thing we feel trap like we should stay and thats how they get you and thats why they can do d!ck moves like this and not worry because most of us think like this and will not leave we will just accept and adapt and they just come again and do something worse. You got to ask yourself what is going take for you be stuck in position where IMVU bring in the unity creators and let them use all the product that already here and say okay we dont need you guys no more? Because that will be the next d!ck move that will come.

I would set them as display that way members can see how we have been wronged, it would get pretty frustrating every time they see some nice things and not be able to spend the creds.

Because they are honoring the pledge we can derive without vip to play the game, but i hope they have looked into the fact, all those products in our shop we took time to create to earn from are now worthless, i hope anyone with knowledge on business law can look into this part.

I wouldnt do that to my customers, but i will just set my shop to display only, it will look pretty but you can only window shop. This will give a message loud and clear to members here who do not dev.

This is my take because they have given away to many promo, been greedy by changing the tiers, many have already walked, and this is to fill a back hole, so our accounts have become dollar signs. The cost if living crisis they need to see some sort of profits,

Why they didnt do it for others, they just had to close the shops.!
