Fixing Other Homepage Display Problems
If you were not editing the HTML (or even if you were) prior to experiencing graphic issues, try any one or all of the options below:
OPTION I: Using Safe Mode
STEP 1: Try using the Safe mode by clicking the Safe button located below the IMVU header at the upper right corner of your homepage.
STEP 2: When you are done, click the Safe button again to bring your homepage back to its normal mode.
OPTION II: Using Edit Imported HTML
You can also try using the Edit imported HTML button, which can be found by clicking the Edit tab of any individual panel.
OPTION III: Deleting Messages
If you noticed that the columns on your page were suddenly misaligned, squished, expanded, or askew, it may be because someone had left you a message with some HTML or Javascript embedded in it and this script is distorting your page. You should try deleting your messages to see if this fixes the problem.
If you are still experiencing the same problem even after trying all of the options mentioned, please submit a Case in our Help Center with the following details:
Describe the problem in as much detail as you can. What broke? What exactly do you see on your homepage?
Is this a new problem? (i.e. your page was fine and suddenly it changed)
Were you doing any HTML editing to your page?
If you were editing HTML, did you try to fix it using the "Safe" mode or the "Edit imported HTML" button?
Did you try deleting your messages? (in case one of them contained html or java script that was affecting your page alignment)
Which panel on your homepage (if any) is being affected?
Do you want us to reset any panel of your homepage (or any panel you were editing) to the default setting? (this will erase all the data you added to that panel). If yes, please specify which panel(s) you want to reset or if you would like us to reset the entire page.
Feel free to send us a screenshot of your homepage if you feel it would be helpful. You can do this in the Case that you will submit through our Help Center.
