Ever wanted to go shopping with your friends, just like you do in real life? Now you can, with the IMVU Shop Together feature! You can try on outfits with your friends in a chat environment. Shop Together is intuitive, easy, and fun! Just follow the easy steps below.
On IMVU Classic
There are three ways to invite a friend to Shop Together On IMVU Classic:
Method 1
STEP 1: Go to the Shop, then click on the Invite someone to Shop Together button on the lower left hand side.
STEP 2: Select the friend you wish to shop with, then click Invite to Shop.
Method 2
STEP 1: Click on the Online Friends notification on the lower right hand corner of the IMVU Classic's page.
STEP 2: Hover your mouse over the friend you wish to invite, then click the Shop Together icon.
Method 3:
STEP 1: Click on the Friends tile in the IMVU Classic's main menu.
STEP 2: Bring up the Avatar Card of the friend you wish to invite (by clicking their name), then click the Shop Together icon.
What can you do with Shop Together? It is an all new experience that merges the fun and excitement of browsing through the catalog and chatting with your friends.
You may also try out your friend's new outfit! Simply click on the notification that appears when your friend tries out clothes from the catalog.
On IMVU Desktop & Website
STEP 1: Log into IMVU Desktop or Website and click on Shop Together.
STEP 2: Select the friend you wish to shop with, then click Invite.
Your friend will receive a notification like the one below. Once they accept, both of you can start shopping together. Enjoy!
Remember:
- Both you and your shopping partner must be on IMVU Classic (IMVU Client) Version 500.2 or up. To download the latest version, click here.
- VIP Members may invite anyone to Shop Together -- even non-VIP or avatars that are not their friends. To learn more about VIP, click here.
- Anyone can be invited to Shop Together.
- As of date, only wearable items (clothes and accessories, avatars, pets) can be tried on using this feature.
