Eligible VCOIN (held in wallet for 30 days or more)
★ Once both your account and your VCOIN meet these requirements, it will be ready for withdrawal!
2 Factor Authentication & Link to Uphold
1. From your VCOIN wallet, click ‘Withdraw’.
2. Two-Factor Authentication will need to be enabled on your account. Click ‘Continue’ to enable it.
3. The ‘Turn on 2FA’ notification will prompt you to set it up. Click ‘Set Up’ to start.
4. The ‘Two-Factor Authentication’ notification will display next. Check your email for the two-factor authentication code and enter it here.
Congrats! Two-factor authentication is now enabled. Next, link with Uphold! Click ‘Continue’.
Once two-factor authentication is enabled, you will be prompted to link your IMVU account with Uphold.
5. Follow the Uphold verification process from their website to finish account linking.
Verify Uphold Account
To verify your Uphold Account, you’ll need to provide:
Your current residential address
Any one of the following valid government photo IDs in Latin (e.g., English, Spanish etc) or Cyrillic or Greek characters only:
- Passport
- National ID card
- Driver's license
- A 'live selfie'
A clear selfie picture to make sure it’s really you creating the account.
Note:
- Residents of the United States will need to submit a Social Security Number for tax purposes.
- Residents of China will need to submit a valid government-issued identification number.
- Residents of Russia will need to submit an International Passport.
Tips for a Successful Verification Session
Verifying your identity is quick and easy as long as you follow these tips!
- Capture a clear, readable photo of your valid ID with matching details to your Uphold account.
- No masks, hats, or sunglasses, prescription glasses allowed.
- Ensure your ID is valid for at least three more months.
- Photograph the whole ID, no cut-off corners or text.
- Try the Mobile App for camera issues on a computer.
- Refresh the page to restart after mistakes. Avoid incomplete submissions.
- No scanned or saved image files accepted.
- Use a live selfie, not a photo of a photo.
- Position light source in front for a well-lit face.
- Capture a head and shoulder shot against a plain background, like a passport photo.

Steps to Verify
STEP 1. Tap on Verify your identity in the home screen or go to Settings and open your Profile.
STEP 2. Enter your residential address (make sure it’s the same address as on your Gov. photo ID).
STEP 3. Confirm your country of residence.
STEP 4. Take a clear picture of your valid government-issued photo ID, where the text is readable without any glare. Upload one of the following documents:
- Passport
- National ID Card
- Driver's License
- If your ID reads clearly in the preview window, click Readable, if not, click Retake.
STEP 5. Tap Done, and the Uphold team will review your docs and you should get a message soon confirming you've been verified. You can check your status under Profile in Settings.
*Account verification is required for all crypto platforms. This is done to confirm that a customer is who they claim to be and to prevent illegal activities. Verification protects your VCOIN from being stolen or used for nefarious purposes.
★ Once you have linked your account and your Uphold account has been verified, your IMVU account will gain full access to purchasing, withdrawing, and sending VCOIN! ★
How to Withdraw VCOIN (Desktop & Mobile)
[Web: Log in > VCOIN Wallet (right top corner) > Withdraw > Confirm!]
[Mobile: Log in > VCOIN Wallet (left top corner) > Withdraw > Confirm!]
STEP 1. Log onto IMVU and click on your VCOIN Wallet
STEP 2. Click Withdraw to see your available balance (VCOIN held for 30 days)
STEP 3. Enter the desired amount of VCOIN and click Confirm Withdraw.
Things to know ✔
Once your VCOIN withdrawal request has been processed, you will be able to see your withdrawn balance in your Uphold Account. From there, you can convert your VCOIN into your preferred currency (including cash and other cryptocurrencies) or send to other crypto holders.
- 10% transaction fee per “exit” on Uphold
- 3-5 day processing period.
How to convert VCOIN into any currency through Uphold
STEP 1. Log onto Uphold and select Transact
STEP 2. Click on From to display all currencies
STEP 3. Search for VCOIN and select to confirm From VCOIN
STEP 4. Choose your preferred currency for withdraw, and transfer by clicking Done.

3. Earn More: Besides your MASA incentive, there are additional ways that Creators can earn VCOIN on IMVU. This is by becoming a Producer, specifically a custom creator. A custom creator is a creator that offers to create customized, unique items for users on platform, at their request. To get started as a custom creator all you need to do is post your service to the VCOIN Marketplace along with some cool images that accurately represent your style and creating skills.
