What is a Producer?

Producers are your key to a custom and unique IMVU experience. These digital professionals are here to produce your IMVU world. If you can dream it, they’re here to help make it a reality in the metaverse with their expert touch.

Their specialties include modeling, editing images, creating custom items/rooms, and countless more. Best of all, their digital services can be found on our official Discord server - https://discord.gg/imvuofficial, where Producers can be hired and paid in VCOIN .

What types of Producers are there?

ANYONE can be a Producer! This list is just the tip of the iceberg – your skill and passion in the metaverse can be the next VCOIN gig to make it big. There are many types of Producers on our platform, even ones you wouldn’t expect.

Top Producer Categories Include:

• Editors - Editors are experts in enhancing avatar shots taken in IMVU using programs like Photoshop and other mobile apps.
• Custom Creators - A custom creator is a Creator that takes custom item, clothing, furniture or room commissions in exchange for VCOIN. To be a custom means that this item is NOT listed for purchase in Shop and is just delivered straight to the user that requested it. Remember that there are 2 categories of Creators: Meshers and Texturers. A mesher creates base 3D products that texturers can derive from to create unique versions.
• Models - Models connect with others through the power of self expression in their avatars. They’re able to tell a story with their methodically chosen wardrobes, with their expertise in creating the perfect style. Creators will often hire models to take nice photos in their clothing and generate traffic to their Shop. There are also various modeling agencies with which Creators will work directly with.
• Personal Shoppers/Stylists - Gurus of Shop, Personal Shoppers and Stylists are able to take your outfit’s concept and bring it to life! They know the perfect items to craft your look, and are there to give you advice along the way.
• Influencers/Shop Promoters - Influencers will get your item, clothing or business in front of the eyes of users and help grow your Creator shop, IMVU profile or business.

You may also spot unique services, like:

• Photographers - IMVU photographers are experts at taking images by applying their expertise on composition. They are gurus at finding the right lighting within a room, how much space an avatar must fill within the screen, and have an eye for maneuvering the best camera angles.
• DJs - Looking to host a party? A DJ is a must! They’re here to make sure everyone hits that dance floor!
• Wedding Officiants - Wedding officiants help personalize, customize, and coordinate your big day so that all you need to worry about is saying, “I do!”
• And many more!

What is the Producer Community?

The Producer Community is a collaboration between IMVU and Producers. It’s an exclusive space to network, share advice, and ask questions to fellow creatives and IMVU Staff. This program is an opportunity for Producers to grow their IMVU businesses and have 1:1 access to an IMVU Staff member to have your questions and tips for success answered.

The goal of this community is to better support and understand Producers, retain IMVU’s best talent, and help you earn real money in the form of VCOIN for your services. The primary meeting place of the Producers in this community is an invite-only channel located on the VCOIN Discord Server. If you’re a Producer and would like to be a part of the Producer Community, please join the server, then submit this short form! An admin under the @Vteam role will add you to the #producer-community channel.
