When you consider how small of a revenue bump this has to be for IMVU (compared to their overall revenue stream. For us, it's a huge cost - for them it's change in the couch) - it is hard to take a policy change such as this as anything other than malicious. When you examine that versus the effects it will have on the creators who do put out the items that sell, I would think it'd be an overall deficit for the company. As was pointed out to me early on in this conversation, IMVU does still need its best and brightest; the ones who put out the new and trendy sparklies. They actually need all of us, but they do need our superstars to stay most of all. Without us/them they'll quickly suffer from other social media platforms where the youth evacuate because Grandpa and Mom are in here.

I am also a one account creator and I've been here 16 years (time has flown!) My account was grandfathered when they changed the teirs and VIP stuff years ago. imvu staff don't actually "get it", that we pay for places to upload our images, pay and pay just to create on imvu. I make $50 per 8 months or so so there is no way I can afford to pay over $10-15 (exchange rate goes up and down) per week just to cash out my tiny $50 (minus 30% tax as well) once, or if I'm lucky twice a year. Giving us a month to turn our >50 balances into credits is no solution because WE DON"T NEED CREDITS WE NEED OUR EARNINGS IN CASH. I'm gutted, creating actually helped my mental health issues especially when I was so unwell that I couldn't work normal hours in a job, it helped me so much.

@Polystyrene​ I am not insulting none creators. IMVU is insulting creators. I just saying when you do the math it don't make sense. I am going to pay products fee dev fee submission fee for each product. Is that not use paying to create. I am going to sit here let IMVU take 60% of those sale profit from each product I paid to submit. Then when I cash out I am going to get 30 cent off each 100 credits of my earning. I am going to wait for 14 days pending to see my balance being ready. I am going deal with a masa which going determined how much of what is left from the devalue amount of the credits that is left for me. After all that cost I put in and lose. Now I am going to also pay vip on top of all that. If you find that insulting then you right it is insulting but that's not me doing that to you that's IMVU. Regardless if you choose to stay that is beyond insulting but please direct that to the right direction. I am a creator as you and I just took the leaf of fait to jump ship a long time ago because I seen this coming. That's a choice I made and I just accepted my lose and rebuild somewhere else. It wasn't easy it was a struggle but it was worth it because I took my power back. My choice that's not insulting but showing it can be done.

I agree with this Jak ... If IMVU taps into some of the best creators for feedback and insight there will be a light at the end of the tunnel ...

The only feature I'm aware of on VIP that is advantageous to creators (setting aside the current topic) is the numerous public rooms that could be used as show rooms. That's a very dubious benefit. Yeah, you get some credits which can be put towards creation, but the vast majority of VIP's features don't appeal to me and anyone I talk with, beyond Whisper and rooms. I certainly don't need any more free stuff at this point - I'm sure new users appreciate that, but my inventory looks like Jabba the Hutt after gorging at Pizza Hut.

Side note - considering all of the (bleep) on the tier system that is a flagrant, 'you rub our back, we'll rub yours,' that has NOTHING TO DO WITH ACTUAL CREATION, shouldn't this move give every creator an automatic upshift on tier status? I know that its next to nothing in the way things work (woo-hoo, a whole nickel off of derivation costs! Thanks!), but it's better than nothing ... barely.

I stay because my friends are on here; otherwise I would have blown this place ages ago. As it is, every time IMVU pulls one of these abusive stunts, people always cry that the ship is sinking. While I've been in that crowd many a time, IMVU has defied all logic and reason by remaining afloat. Who else on the planet can you name that starts a business that is flippant towards their customer's needs, and is openly hostile towards their content creators and rolls around in their money vault like Scrooge McDuck?

Oh, because this has always infuriated me - why the heck is IMVU still in California? The damn server could be floating on a raft in the Bahamas and they'd only have to pay the hands-on maintenance guys to live there. They could be all remote working and the business headquarters could be in a business friendly state, rather than a vampiric tax economy like California. Maybe you people should be looking at a realistic course of action to make the company more profitable rather than flogging a dead horse?

So at what point is the new *incentive* from the IMVU powers that be suppose to be an advantage to anyone that uses the platform? Its a case of PAY for VIP to get your own money or tough luck, seriously time like so many others to look at new platforms rather than flog a dead horse.

@RigsK​ I don't want to combine my accounts. I want to keep them separate so I can track how much each one is earning. I appreciate not having to pay for VIP on both but this is not a good solution for me.

This also means MASA will be applied to accounts that withdraw under $500 a month. This is unfair. This means even more capping of people's incomes.

I need clarification on this also. But from my own understanding, the other 2 accounts that will be merged on the VIP account will lose its shop and can be found on the VIP account you merged it with. But those 2 non VIP accounts will still be there. Only useless. So I'm wondering if we can also get the upgrades like AP and devtokens from those useless accounts.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

HunnyHer is the acct with vip- will Hunnymaid and Hunnybun still have a catalog or will those all 3 become HunnyHer if I link them?

I actually have 10 accts- so I am trying to figure out how to strategically link them for MASA reasons but if they are going to turn into one catalog I need to rethink how I am gong to do this.

I DON’T HAVE 3 ACCOUNTS!!! Convert to credits? What the hell am I reading!??? Stop spending money on those STUPID ads please and LEAVE your creators that are with you sente years and helped you becoming WHAT YOU ARE NOW with all the benefits THEY DESERVE!!!! We already pay tax and submission costs and we buy real credits spending real money to submit products to your catalog AND THIS IS ENOUGH OK??????
