This is an important update for Grandfathered Creators.
In the announcement below we stated that starting July 1, 2023, all Earn Money Creators, including Grandfathered Creators, will be required to have either Platinum or Diamond VIP in order to be in the Earn Money Program and receive cash payouts.
(This requirement does not affect Grandfathered Creators who are subscribed to legacy VIP (from before Tiered VIP launched).
We realize this is a huge change for many Grandfathered Creators and have been closely following feedback regarding this new policy.
Based on your valuable input, we have come up with a solution that should make it easier for affected Creators to transition.
Details are as follows:
LINKED ACCOUNTS FOR GRANDFATHERED CREATORS
Starting July 1, 2023, Creators will be able to link three Grandfathered Creator accounts together, with only one VIP subscription.
Creators will choose one Grandfathered account for their VIP subscription, and two additional Grandfathered accounts that will not need VIP.
If a Creator already pays for Platinum or Diamond VIP on a non-Grandfathered account, they can apply it to two of their Grandfathered accounts.
All three linked accounts will be eligible for the Earn Money Program and payouts.
Once the accounts are linked, new earnings from these accounts will be combined into one MASA balance. Earnings from before the accounts are linked will not be combined.
Grandfathered accounts that are grouped with a VIP account will not need to apply for the Earn Money Program as long as they have already been approved to participate in the Earn Money Program prior.
Starting August 2023, earnings from the linked accounts can be set up to funnel into the VIP account.
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO LINK GRANDFATHERED ACCOUNTS
Here’s how to link a Platinum or Diamond VIP Grandfathered account with two additional accounts.
Make sure one of your Creator accounts has Platinum or Diamond VIP
Submit a help ticket to the Earn Money Program, requesting linked accounts. List an account that has VIP, and two Grandfathered accounts that do not have VIP.
If any of the linked accounts is not in the Earn Money Program, those account(s) will need to join to earn money and request a payout. All accounts will be able to apply to the Earn Money Program without a VIP subscription. However, you will not be able to earn money or request a payout until the account has a qualified VIP subscription or is linked to a Grandfathered account with a qualified VIP subscription.
Once the team receives your ticket (and your Earn Money application(s) if applicable), they will:
Check to make sure the accounts are owned by you
Confirm your Earn Money Program application has been accepted.
As soon as your accounts are approved, the team will link them together, so all three can be in the Earn Money Program with only one VIP subscription
ADDITIONAL BENEFIT - JULY ONLY
Between July 1 and July 30, Earn Money accounts with less than $50 can convert their balances into Credits. To receive Credits, send a help ticket to the Earn Money team.
Attention Creators - Starting July 1 Earn Money Payouts will require VIP
This is an important notice for Creators who are not signed up for VIP but still receive cash payouts in the Earn Money Program.
Starting July 1, 2023, all Earn Money Creators will be required to have either Platinum or Diamond VIP in order to receive cash payouts.

CLARIFICATION:

Added 5/23/23 - You will not be able to earn cash or receive payouts unless you purchase Platinum or Diamond VIP. Once you join VIP you can earn cash and receive payouts. You will not lose existing cash balances. They will simply not be available without VIP.

Is there some sort of a technical issue that won't allow you to combine more than 3 accounts? Cuz this doesn't make any sense. The amount of creators who helped build this site from way back in the early days of IMVU, who have more than 3 accounts, are such a small handful, that as a company, you would barely miss the cash, were they allowed to combine all of their accounts. But as individuals, it will hurt their bank accounts.
I have exactly 3 creator accounts, so it would be easy to just sit back, smile and thank you guys. But this feels like a joke. None of these rules and procedures were in place back when this specific group of people were creating all of these accounts to actively work on. The only people that I personally know of, who fall under this category, of having many accounts, still going strong... are two of your best and most loyal and talented creators. And yet you guys are actively choosing to punish them, above all others, for doing a good job, strongly managing to keep all of those pro status accounts up and going... They deserve a standing ovation from you guys, not a kick in the nether regions.
How many more hits are you guys going to throw at us, before you finally admit that this place is dying?
Maybe try asking the best of the creators for help in reviving IMVU, instead of stomping them into the ground. It's a sad, sad day, when you need to bankrupt 2 or 3 individuals in order to stay afloat as a company.
My previous statement still stands. It's officially become a bad investment for any creators with the talent and drive to earn a living here. Sales will keep dropping, and you'll keep looking for more ways to get cash from us. It won't be long til you find that none of us have anything left to give.

They shouldn't even be blackmailing creators to get vip period, it is nothing more than a extortion racket, its we will hold onto your hard earned cash for 14 days to check for fraud, and if you don,t hit your 50 we will screw you over and keep it. We will also screw you over with dev fees on 3 accounts if you dont churn out high amounts. So the contract is in fact very one sided. They will cash grab you on dev fees if you are not a sweat shop worker.

@shopdaisylogo You are right ..We don't have time to use VIP.. We don't have time to barely even use the platform as a chat site.. I have not had VIP since 2010. Nor have I had the time to even want to use anything it had to offer. what I cant wrap my head around is why they didn't at least offer grandfathered creators with one account the option of VIP gold for Payouts. It would have been at least swallowed a little better than this shenanigans especially since our sales across the board are a huge dumpster fire and have been for the last 3 years. not to mention all the money we have actually already dumped into this site. We don't even need any of the options in gold let alone Platinum..

I have stop creating because of the earn program years ago. I make more on another platform. All my customers are on that platform my customers are not even here. I get more dev tokens then sale anyhow. You site is not even secure enough for me to even feel confrontable to bring in my 3d texture skill with you new creator system that enable advance 3d materials. This company refuses to listen to people. Repeatly! This just confirms what the numbers been showing you do not have enough paying people that buying credits. So why would I be so stupid to pay you to create when there not enough shoppers who have real credits to begin with. When you lost you top shoppers to platforms like SECONDLIFE and the SIMs. Its all over facebook of what platforms everyone is at and its SECONDLIFE. So I will not waste any more of my hard earn money for you to only pay 30 cents to 100 credits and charge vip on top of the submission fee which you hit use with two at submitting and oh yea my fav you what 60% cut off per sales you take. Yea sale that bs to the dummies that going to settle for that mess. If you guys find that linking mult accounts and paying vip on top of what you already pay to create and what is left from you sales that you get and how much less you actually get paid when it converts to credits. More power to you but this is not a good deal this is a power move. My power is to cont to not give you anymore money because IMVU your company lack integrity and you company is just not worth it. My value is so much more then what you pay and if you cant afford us anymore say. These schemes to figure how to milk the creators dry more is sicking and unhumanitarian.

Imvu is nothing more than a money grabbing sweat shop. With the work you have to do with the tier points so you don't pay as much dev fees, i cant see many devs having a life outside imvu.

So while devs are trying to make up the lost revenue on their 3 accounts, using studio, doing peer to keep tier points, making 30 items per account to pay less dev fees, cough... when do they get time to use the benefits of VIP.

NM I tried to edit So You can link up to 3 so if you have 2 to 3 you wont be hit as hard but if you have 1 account there is no relief for you.. I still stand by what I said but edit it to 1 account.. SMH..

Saw the updated, and I need something to be clarified.
The update stated that after up to 3 accounts are linked, they will grow a combined masa. So does that mean that 3 accounts link have a total of the minimum of a $500 masa amount combined? Or will linked accounts have a new masa amount that has a "combined minimum masa" amount?
For example an unlinked account has a $500 masa where linked accounts combined has a 2000$ masa.
