This is essentially my ultimate question here as well.

And unfortunately the answer I fear is that IMVU, at least as far as they're concerned, does not seem to believe it has any obligations towards it's creators, and that's what's so frustrating. IMVU seems to consistently find ways to let us know that they don't hold the creator/company relationship in any high regard or feel any kind of obligation to honor that relationship in the slightest.

Does IMVU need another creator advocate? Shoot me a message, give me a call. I would gladly tell management and staff when their changes and policy updates are going to cause issues for creators or burn bridges/hurt the creator community.

Something tells me no one is chomping at the bit to go toe-to-toe with whoever's running things, but I would gladly tell them how stupid their being on a daily basis.

What obligation does IMVU have to honouring any pending payments if creators don't sub to VIP? Are pending pay-outs going to be 'frozen' and paid in full? Or are monies due beyond the cut off date (July) going to be null and void?

One of my fears is that they are going to say "if you don't buy VIP that the money in pend will turn to credits". I don't see them giving Creators anything. This looks to me as if they are going to squeeze all the blood from the turnip. They need to slash budgets and try to get more quarterly earnings for the subscription service. I bet they will offer 40 percent off VIP. That's all I can see they might come with. Or they offer some special of switching pended money to Vcoin or Vcore.

Things are not looking good.

At this point, to be honest, unless it has something to do with MASA and getting paid my own income, I don't really have much hope or interest. I don't want VIP, I don't even want it for free.

Being able to cash out my own income at my own discretion is the bare minimum of any platform and anything other than that is simply not acceptable to me anymore.

We are struggling already and this feels disrespectful. I am sick of begging for the minimum and working to the burnout to only have access to under half my income.

I understand that change may not be able to happen overnight, but IMVU must figure a way to get rid of MASA or slowly change it so that they do not owe us so much money so that we are not struggling to pay our bills while they hold thousands of our income hostage... this is not sustainable for anyone anymore.

If we leave, IMVU owes us a paycheck either way if we have a pending balance. I don't want to leave, I want to keep innovating for the future of the platform... but I refuse to be struggling when I have money that IMVU simply won't pay me when I need it the most.

If serious creators leave, they are left with the bad actors, the brand sellers, the illegal credit seller creators, the copy-bot creators, the copyright thieves and hopeful new creators... and no one to mentor the new creators, no one to innovate their catalog through new products on the newest platforms.

IMVU, a last humble plea from me. If we give you 10 dollars every month for my accounts, will you revisit MASA and also do your part of innovating an old policy that is asphyxiating your creators?

It really is breaking my heart.

I'm just over here drinking my coffee, cleaning up my shop, and setting up a Patreon for Sims CC while reading the comments. Siennah and I have a Sims FB group that's 21k strong and quickly growing by 300-ish new members per day, so it may be time to nurture that avenue. It makes me so sad to see how all of this is playing out. I loved being a creator here, but it's quickly becoming financially unsustainable with the extreme drop in sales over the years, and now the requirement for VIPs to cash out. They already did this to VIP creators.

Before, when our VIP lapsed, we could still withdraw our cash earnings. I did this for years on my alt, Urbanite. My IRL mom was able to do it on her account, too. It helped supplement her SSI income. Around the time the new Tiered VIP rolled out, I noticed that my account was set to credits only. I had Mom check her account, and the same was happening for her, despite her preference being set to 100% cash. There was no message, no announcement, just the switch. I've always had to have VIP to create, unfortunately, but being forced to pay to get my earnings was a surprise.

I don't know what they can do to ease the transition, but it should benefit all of the creators. It shouldn't just be applied to the grandfathered creators considering we can't cash out without VIP anymore, either.

It's been a pleasure and a joy getting to know so many of you. I'll always be thankful for the friendships I've made here from all corners of the world. One of the most incredible things about this experience was how we can unite and find commonality across all cultures, language barriers, and demographics. yep you can make imvu lots of cash without having vip. Perk of grandfathered in making them money, but you can not make any money yourself for all your hard work, its its just so appealing .. sarcasm intended

Due to never needing to buy credits, I was unaware for years that since the credit resalers went away that IMVU had TRIPLED the price of credits. That means that we're essentially being paid a third of what we used to by the fact that there are a third of the actual credits running around. I love how the boat is sinking, and their goto for saving the company is to try and squeeze blood from a stone rather than lowering prices.
