We want to share an update regarding music services used in IMVU Classic rooms.
IMVU currently partners with Vervelife, a third party music licensing and distribution provider that supplies the music catalog used in IMVU Classic. Vervelife manages licensing with music rights holders and handles the vendor payments and legal compliance required to make this music available on the platform.
Vervelife has made the decision to discontinue support for the music services they provide. Because this service, including its licensing, infrastructure, and continued operation, is entirely owned and managed by Vervelife, this change is outside of IMVU’s control, and we do not have the ability to maintain or extend it.
We know music plays an important role in many IMVU rooms and experiences, and we understand this news may be disappointing. Our team is actively exploring alternative music solutions that could be compatible with IMVU Classic’s legacy technology.
In the meantime: • Music purchases through the Vervelife system have already been disabled. • Radio streaming remains supported on other platforms, including IMVU Web, Desktop, and Mobile. • Existing Flash radio streaming products are not expected to be affected.
We understand many of you have invested in music for your rooms, and we’re taking steps to support impacted users during this transition. We will be accommodating refunds for recent music streaming purchases where applicable. Eligible users will be contacted directly in the coming weeks with more information.
We will continue to share updates as we learn more about the timeline for this transition and evaluate possible solutions.
Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to make IMVU a place full of creativity, expression, and great music.

I'm sorry but I'm not accepting the excuses IMVU is giving us for why they refuse to fully compensate us for music purchases let alone going as far as completely removing our pre-existing mixes and music purchase logs. There is no reason why people should not be able to receive their credits for ALL the music they purchased and there is no reason why y'all got rid of all existing proof of the music we purchased after y'all gave us that chump change when y'all never took our mixes or music purchase logs away the several times the music store stopped working prior to its complete removal. Either accommodate to client users and what we need or continue to run us away and lose out on money because we (the OG IMVU users) are the only ones still spending money to keep this game afloat.

Either put all my music back, the whole lists, and all my mixes i made, in the order i've put them in. Or give me my money back. Its no that hard to understand. And give me my money back for all the web radios i bought that you now broke and are totally useless products that i've payed for. its not that hard to understand. And you keep deleting posts on social media's where i say the same things. Cowards. i do NOT recommend IMVU to anyone. They sell you something you pay for it, and then they just take the product away like you never had it or bought it.That is Theft. And then blame others that it isnt their fault, while you bought the products on their website, legit. using their coins, legit. wich you bought with your hard earned money, legit. so you purchased the product within their set up and system. LEGIT. They offered it to you. with a pricetag. and then afte you bought it they just delete the whole product no refund. THEFT is what that is called. as scam. Lure you and then rob you from the product you bought from them. .

As you wanted radio stream, let me explain this. Most Radio Streams are costly and nobody can afford them. IMVU I suggest you add an MP3 Tab on Classic Client to make it easier for all users.

@ BambiDreamz. The problem with filing a complaint with your local ATG office or consumer protection office is,1. They will contact the business with the complaint. 2. The business does not have to respond. 3. After so many days with no response the office closes the case and it goes away. It is the FTC that regulates online games and media. They have the power to do something if a business responds or not. Remember they went after and punished Facebook to the tune of 300 million in fines for violating privacy. All these consumer protection agencies and the BBB don't have the power. Help comes from the Federal Trade Commission.

I reached out to the attorney generals office/ as well as spoke to customer service. They actually have to refund it. I sent them all the information. I had 100's of music I purchased. They can't just tell us they are only refunded 1 year. They can send us the refund in credits, I have no issue, but needless to say, they have to refund. I would suggest filing complaints with your attorney generals office (local) as well as the BBB in your state.

I don't know why people still twitching and moaning in here. Complaints in house stay in house. I have not seen a word of dissatisfaction in social media post or blogs where people can see what is happening. I did read someone put up the FTC web address, I thank them for that action, but I'm taking bets not one bothered to make a formal complaint to the people who can actually help. You don't like how you are taken advantage of but have not done the right thing to stop it.

Its really horrible people lose all there music and playlists over the last 20 years. thats the thing that made imvu what it is everybody had a chance to play music and mixs without having to be an official dj. i understand and feels people pain losing music we can never replace, i really hope imvu finds away to fix this so people get there music back. i just really hope this is not the beginning of the end of imvu. i am giving imvu the benefit of the doubt they will fix this. and i hope imvu are telling the truth thats its not there fault and its down to Verelife. i just hope they not done it so we use radios from influencers like
i surely would not use davons radio dunno why he is even still a influencer. was a fake friend on my list that accuses me of sadly spam but shareing hard work with friends on friend list surely is not spam and found him to be very spitful to me with no good reasons. any ways life goes on. i have faith in imvu that this will be fixed one day. after all people spent more on music than anything else. music was one of imvu biggest sellers.

So apparently they’re only willing to refund music that was bought from Oct 1st 2025…. Everything prior to that date will NOT be refunded. This is absolutely unacceptable!! They’re basically robbing us of our hard earned money we invested. IMVU do better!
well been here for years and this change is not right to just take things from people that have purchased music and not even a email to some im one of them and still waiting on a refund on at least some of my music been here since 2012 off and on so imvu u need to get busy this is crazy how you all just took our music then u cant even talk to anyone u even not taking calls cant make tickets refund spent to much with u all for u to just take something from me

Over a million credits spent, and also music bought after October 2025, still no offer of a refund. Users dropping off more and more, going to other platforms. Some I know are even refusing to update at all because they don't want to deal with this radio streaming. I will never use Desktop/Next/Mobile, I've been with classic in one way or another since the site began and we all had giant heads. This is such a crappy way to treat the people that basically helped build and shape the community and kept you all afloat.

ok so am in a friends room and i cant hear the url they have on, its seems to be blocked, im in uk theyre in usa, so how is this gonna work, also there the issue of only room owner and mods adding music?, so i cant add a stream for music i would like in the room.... theres a disconnect here, i have people who came to my rooms ik who cant upgrade because they have older pcs, so where does that leave, them, before they could at least hear music lists no matter what, luckily i have youtube players and preset music so they can listen to something....

Can i also get a refund on all the web radio products and players i bought trough the years, because non of them works anymore. SMH. I cant get that stupid stream radio to work. most links it says failed! . Only 1 or 2 works but isnt the music i want ofc.. so now im dressed up in 70's disco clothes and avi in my Boogie Nights room ( P.C.) wanting to dance on my disco music. But now im in disco fit in a disco room listening to : Guns 'n'Roses - Paradise city. .. Make it make sense !!! WTF !!!!
