We want to share an update regarding music services used in IMVU Classic rooms.
IMVU currently partners with Vervelife, a third party music licensing and distribution provider that supplies the music catalog used in IMVU Classic. Vervelife manages licensing with music rights holders and handles the vendor payments and legal compliance required to make this music available on the platform.
Vervelife has made the decision to discontinue support for the music services they provide. Because this service, including its licensing, infrastructure, and continued operation, is entirely owned and managed by Vervelife, this change is outside of IMVU’s control, and we do not have the ability to maintain or extend it.
We know music plays an important role in many IMVU rooms and experiences, and we understand this news may be disappointing. Our team is actively exploring alternative music solutions that could be compatible with IMVU Classic’s legacy technology.
In the meantime: • Music purchases through the Vervelife system have already been disabled. • Radio streaming remains supported on other platforms, including IMVU Web, Desktop, and Mobile. • Existing Flash radio streaming products are not expected to be affected.
We understand many of you have invested in music for your rooms, and we’re taking steps to support impacted users during this transition. We will be accommodating refunds for recent music streaming purchases where applicable. Eligible users will be contacted directly in the coming weeks with more information.
We will continue to share updates as we learn more about the timeline for this transition and evaluate possible solutions.

In all honesty I am stunned I just received a response from Customer service. For many months all they said was send a ticket. This music issue has happened before, and gone on for months. I was just told will get nothing in return. Was told the following:
To clarify what is happening, Vervelife (our third-party music provider) is no longer partnered with IMVU. Because that service has been discontinued platform-wide, those specific songs are no longer available to play.
I truly wish I had better news for you, as I understand how upsetting it is to lose access to items you’ve purchased. While we cannot restore these tracks, we are always looking for new ways to bring music and entertainment to our community. We truly value you as a long-time member of IMVU and appreciate your understanding during this transition. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with today.
This transition means she said how long we will have what tunes we do own and i will be reimbursed nothing.

This won't fly at all. People have over at least 500 songs and you want to refund the most recent music streaming purchases? You have people who has been with you all since DAY 1, and you all are going to treat us like this? Just awful. It is either you refund every penny back or you all better find another 3rd party with the music. But again, refund the most recent purchases is a no-go.

"Recent music streaming purchases"? What about the many years worth of music most of us have? Will it all be refunded? I for one own over 1,000 songs...will I be refunded for all or just recent? And why hasn't the radio streaming serves been made available to us Classic Users yet? And like the above said, we don't want predits since we used real money (credits) to purchase them in the first place :(
