We want to share an update regarding music services used in IMVU Classic rooms.
IMVU currently partners with Vervelife, a third party music licensing and distribution provider that supplies the music catalog used in IMVU Classic. Vervelife manages licensing with music rights holders and handles the vendor payments and legal compliance required to make this music available on the platform.
Vervelife has made the decision to discontinue support for the music services they provide. Because this service, including its licensing, infrastructure, and continued operation, is entirely owned and managed by Vervelife, this change is outside of IMVU’s control, and we do not have the ability to maintain or extend it.
We know music plays an important role in many IMVU rooms and experiences, and we understand this news may be disappointing. Our team is actively exploring alternative music solutions that could be compatible with IMVU Classic’s legacy technology.
In the meantime: • Music purchases through the Vervelife system have already been disabled. • Radio streaming remains supported on other platforms, including IMVU Web, Desktop, and Mobile. • Existing Flash radio streaming products are not expected to be affected.
We understand many of you have invested in music for your rooms, and we’re taking steps to support impacted users during this transition. We will be accommodating refunds for recent music streaming purchases where applicable. Eligible users will be contacted directly in the coming weeks with more information.
We will continue to share updates as we learn more about the timeline for this transition and evaluate possible solutions.
Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to make IMVU a place full of creativity, expression, and great music.

Hi, I have deleted the message to do with getting refund for music. I may not have as much as all that posted before me. Would there be any chance of someone sending the message again please. Thank you. Hope all before me get their credits back for what they have spent on music.

I was cheated out of 25 pages well over 800,000 + credits, We are being forced to use IMVU DESKTOP , Beta crap! Shame on you IMVU you will be the cause of this place closing. As soon as I find something better consider me gone!!!!!

I had atleast 25 pages, 800,000+ Credits of IMVU Songs! They only gave me 3,700 measely CREDITS this is BS!!! We are being robbed by this place. They've already forced all this new stuff on us, This place is going downhill has for years now and when they lose all their users they will have no one to blame! I guarantee if we had been accidentally given credits by them over what they think they'd had banned our accounts if we didn't pay them back. IMVU It's time you step up and treat your users right shame on you!!!!!!!!! I'm just searching for a new places cause as soon as I do they'll not receive one more red cent from me! I am DONE! Thanks for ruining a good place with your forced Beta, IMVU Desktop crap and more! Now you're stealing from us UnBELIEVABLE!!!!!

After 11 years of purchasing music on imvu i get 1851 credits for losing almost 3000 tracks .I am not happy and from this day i will no longer purchase anything on imvu .I am a greeter and will no longer greet .I will play imvu with the Inventory i have unless i recieve full credit for music i purchased .IMVU think they are giving us something we allready can do on a radio site ?

Its unbelievable what IMVU is trying to get away with here....I had 184 pages of music that I bought from them over the12 years I have been on IMVU which totals 4596 songs !!!!!! Those attachments are included below as proof.At 649 Credits per song (roughly 70 cents each), I have spent over $3300..By the way our music purchase activity log on our accounts page does NOT even include any songs that were gifted by our friends and others who sent them to us..That could be another 1500-2000 songs I had....So this total could be close to $5,000 spent on my music when all is said and done....and their solution was to offer me a few hundred credits that cover music purchases since October 2025 which is a complete joke !!!! Credits cost them NOTHING.Talk about spitting in your face....Their solution to make up for almost $5,000 in hard earned money spent from myself and my friends money was to try to give me about 20 to 30 dollars worth of worthless credits which cost them nothing???? And the insanity is that IMVU continued to take our money all the way up to this point for songs we kept buying from their store even though they knew they were going to lose the music provider soon..Sneaky....On top of that, they had a full year to find another music provider and did absolutely NOTHING to find one all that time.They never informed us one time that we would all be soon losing all of our cherished music !!!!! Now their excuse is to blame it all on the music provider and act like IMVU is the little innocent victim whos surprised and shocked what VerveLife (the music provider) did..That is NOT going to fly here !!!! I cant even imagine how much money they have taken in over the years from people buying songs from THEIR MUSIC STORE..WE BOUGHT THESE SONGS AS IMVU MEMBERS...NOT AS VERVELIFE MEMBERS..Newsflash for you IMVU..YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE...STOP PASSING THE BUCK AND PASS US OUR BUCKS !!! Maybe we can give a little refund but only uif you bought the car last year or shorter ! If you bought it longer ago. well F... you ! HAHAHAH ! Dont blame us ! Blame the owner of the dealership. He quit, we didnt. So its out of our hands. So now you lost you car AND your money. NO REFUND ! Hahahah F.,, you. " Go find the owner of the dealership. Dont bother us. We are just Toyota. And we took your car. Bye ! " Thats basicly in a nuttshell what is going on here.

I have been purchasing music through your Music Store since 2009. Not what ever third party site you were going through. My credits were spent in YOUR store. All of them! It is now your (IMVU) responsibility to reimburse us for all credits used in this way. Not some random date set by those of you trying to save the company a few bucks. I mean seriously just how much ACTUAL money will IMVU lose in reimbursing us all credits spent? None. Your credits are all virtual, and can only be used in your catalog, buying your items created by those who make IMVU what it is now. Your users! Who you are screwing over by doing this "changing of the guard", or what ever it is you want to call it. You already have a reputation for taking our money and screwing us over when you can. Hence "IMFU". Don't prove it by doing this.

So this is my concern (The following attachment). We are told Classic isn't being shut down, however this pops up and pretty much speaks for itself. My husband and I have but so much time and MONEY into this, from creating, to music, to the rooms, etc. This isn't right. I think anyone who bought any MUSIC needs to be fully refunded...The music isn't cheap...

While I understand that this decision may be outside of IMVU’s direct control, the outcome significantly affects users who invested substantial credits into music products that are now unusable. This is not the first disruption of this kind, and the recurrence raises concerns about the long-term reliability of purchased digital content on the platform.
At this point, I would like to request clear and direct answers regarding the following:
Compensation Scope: Will refunds or credit reimbursements apply to all previously purchased music products that are no longer functional, rather than only recent purchases?
Ownership and Value Protection: What measures will IMVU implement to ensure that user investments in digital goods are protected from similar losses in the future?
Alternative Solutions: Will IMVU provide a replacement system that allows users to restore or transfer their music experience in a meaningful way?
Given that users made purchases in good faith with the expectation of continued access, limiting compensation to recent transactions does not fully address the loss experienced by long-term customers.
I respectfully ask for a transparent and comprehensive response, as well as a fair resolution that reflects the scale of user investment and the importance of this feature within the community.

i think this was so wrong,i do understand it was the 3rd party decision but i think we should have had more notification instead finding out thru update ...i think people who have spent much money on the music provided by imvu of there 3rd party we need to be compensated for at least half of the money spent they say they are in search of another 3rd party so they can continue the classic legendary...it was just so wrong how it was presented to all of us in the purchases of the 3rd party company of music for the IMCU status

i never got the link for the refund the music ... i had surely about 6000 or more songs and that since 2015 lol funny how they remove all one by one i have lost one time tons of music one time and now its gone oh well

All they do is treat us like garbage, keep taking things away and this could be the final straw....Ive been loyal for 12 years and had thousands of songs and over 650 mixes...all gone..and they think giving me IMVU credits for a few songs I bought since October is "consistent and fair"?????? They are out of their minds..Fair for who??? Fair for them...Its an insult and another spitting in our faces once again...They just have some gall and nerve doing this to us...They cater now to the newbies who dont even stay members long enough to last more than a few weeks and have done everything possible to alieanate and drive off their best customers..just like they drove off all the good creators and product designers years ago who built this site into what it was...it used to be a wonderful website until they started forcing them out with their greed by taking their profits and now they have done it to us yet again by taking away our music and basically stealing our money..we now have nothing to show for all those years..the ones like us who have stayed and spent a ton of money on here through the years and really care about this site just keep getting screwed over time and time again..How much are we supposed to take? If it was not for all the wonderful friends I have made over the years on this website..I would have been long gone years ago..I saw this night mare and decline coming...I just never thought they would have the nerve to literally steal from us like this.If I do end up leaving I will be going right to court and filing a lwasuit ..Attorneys I have spoken to say theres definitely a case here for theft of goods...IMVU better either get a music provider real fast and get our music back or even get Verve Life back and our music back....if it doesnt happen then we have 2 choices...lawsuit or just leave for good...This could have been the final straw for this website....Its just a shame what they have done..Its disgusting..
